For several years now, it has been customary for Apple to introduce new iPods in early October. However, the general public learns about the keynote in advance, within 1-2 weeks. The announcement was made at the end of last month, but so far this year there is silence on the footpath.
So the question arises as to why a music-themed keynote has not been announced yet. This year, Apple has already broken one of the established customs. He did not introduce a new iPhone model in June. This has given rise to a great deal of speculation. The first of these was that he wanted to extend the sales of the white iPhone 4, which he put on sale with a three-quarter year delay. Another reason could be the spring start of sales with the American operator Verizon. Other sources have talked about problems in the production of the upcoming Apple phone.
Whatever the real reasons, one thing is clear. Although the iPhone is still one of the best phones on the market, the competition is not sleeping, and Apple cannot count on the iPhone to sell well even a year and a quarter after its release. I think that delaying the introduction of the iPhone 4S/5 is not intentional and does not give Apple any advantage. Although the power of expectation can slightly increase the initial sales, there is a relatively dull place between the releases, when customers prefer to wait for a new model to buy or wait for a significant discount on the older model.
In addition to the postponed iPhone, we still have an unannounced musical keynote. The same precedent applies here. So why is Apple waiting with iPods and a possible new generation of Apple TV? From logical reasoning, it can be concluded that the 5th generation iPhone is waiting. Announcing the phone together with iPods is not entirely out of place, it shares the same operating system with iPod touch and Apple TV. Even last year's generation of iPod nano contained a modified and cut-down version of iOS.
We already know from foreign sources that the backyard Chinese manufacturer of iOS devices, Foxconn, is producing new iPhones by one hundred and six at a rate of about 150 units per day. There is also almost certainly talk of the start of sales around October 000. But nothing is known for sure and will not be known until Apple announces the keynote. The world is waiting for the announcement of the keynote every day, and it could happen as soon as tomorrow. However, at this point I would put my hand in the fire for the fact that we will see a new iPhone together with a new generation of iPod music players.
Ok, the speculation has reached the point of whether they will be released together.. well, they will be.. there is no problem, Apple must not miss the season..
I was expecting something along the lines of partial blending. For example, the iPod Touch will get a GSM module and, thanks to its more compact dimensions, will be a cheaper sibling of the iPhone. Or that a new keynote format is being created: one for Macs, the other for iOS devices. That autumn could be more consumer and spring more "working". Or that there is a bonus with a Retina iPad somewhere. Or that (for us) support for the iTunes Store in the Czech Republic will be announced (the news was spread by several large media that a company managed to negotiate a deal with Cupertino and now they just have to put together a small 50 albums or songs to fulfill their side of the deal.
There will be a keynote, that's not speculation. The new series must be released at least 2.5 months before the holidays. Both iPods and iPhones. If anything is added, it will be a bonus.
It is not unusual in Apple's history to announce a product on the day of its launch. If it's hardware. Logically, sw must be announced in advance so that developers have time. Therefore, if there is speculation about 8.10. , the keynote can easily be announced sometime in the next 2 weeks. "shipping right now" already sounds good.
Otherwise, merging keynote for ipod/iphone is logical. The telephone is no longer a novelty and has become "routine". In addition, for apple this year is the boy's iCloud
I think that Apple will rebuild its last generation iPhone. If we think about it, the next generation would have to be thinner than the iPod Touch itself, not to mention the equipment of the iPhone itself. Apple has already packed all the latest technologies into the iPhone 4. Dear honey iPhone 4S/5 will be the last Smartphone from Apple ;)
Are you serious about the iPhone end? :D
Well, this is the same nonsense as if BMW said, we make one of the best cars in the world, there is nothing to improve on the new 7th series, we have everything that is currently possible, so I can no longer produce the next generation.
Do you realize the absurdity?
It's best to stop before, but the iPhone 4 is definitely still far from the pinnacle of technology, so I hope I'll buy a few more generations :-)
I'm not a big Applista, but I'm a fan of this company and some technical problems (if there were) would really not suit them when the competition is currently underfoot. And the dark horse Win8 is already lurking around the corner. For now, it's still a favorable time to expand not only in the consciousness of conservative Europeans, even though sometimes it seems to me that Apple is not even interested in expanding. Apple is still a little "different", which is probably a good thing.
After years of using Windows and only a few months of using Mac OS X, I think that Apple has no real competition. And I definitely don't see copiers like Microsoft, Samsung and others as competition. And it's nice that Apple is a bit of a "different" company, at least they are pushed to make products really interesting. I'm a little skeptical about the new iPhone because in my opinion the iPhone 4 is probably the best iPhone ever made, perfect proportions, a steel frame just the right width, I'm honestly a little afraid of the release of the new iPhone.
Well, iPod will celebrate on 23.10. tr 10th birthday so still plenty of time for a bombastic birthday party.
Hey, I didn't know that, it's possible that it will be for the celebration - all at once :)
