For several years now, it has been customary for Apple to introduce new iPods in early October. However, the general public learns about the keynote in advance, within 1-2 weeks. The announcement was made at the end of last month, but so far this year there is silence on the footpath.

So the question arises as to why a music-themed keynote has not been announced yet. This year, Apple has already broken one of the established customs. He did not introduce a new iPhone model in June. This has given rise to a great deal of speculation. The first of these was that he wanted to extend the sales of the white iPhone 4, which he put on sale with a three-quarter year delay. Another reason could be the spring start of sales with the American operator Verizon. Other sources have talked about problems in the production of the upcoming Apple phone.

Whatever the real reasons, one thing is clear. Although the iPhone is still one of the best phones on the market, the competition is not sleeping, and Apple cannot count on the iPhone to sell well even a year and a quarter after its release. I think that delaying the introduction of the iPhone 4S/5 is not intentional and does not give Apple any advantage. Although the power of expectation can slightly increase the initial sales, there is a relatively dull place between the releases, when customers prefer to wait for a new model to buy or wait for a significant discount on the older model.

In addition to the postponed iPhone, we still have an unannounced musical keynote. The same precedent applies here. So why is Apple waiting with iPods and a possible new generation of Apple TV? From logical reasoning, it can be concluded that the 5th generation iPhone is waiting. Announcing the phone together with iPods is not entirely out of place, it shares the same operating system with iPod touch and Apple TV. Even last year's generation of iPod nano contained a modified and cut-down version of iOS.

We already know from foreign sources that the backyard Chinese manufacturer of iOS devices, Foxconn, is producing new iPhones by one hundred and six at a rate of about 150 units per day. There is also almost certainly talk of the start of sales around October 000. But nothing is known for sure and will not be known until Apple announces the keynote. The world is waiting for the announcement of the keynote every day, and it could happen as soon as tomorrow. However, at this point I would put my hand in the fire for the fact that we will see a new iPhone together with a new generation of iPod music players.
