Roundup of speculation: iPhones without a notch and camera improvements for this year's models

After a week, on the website of Jablíčkára, we bring you another part of our regular summary of speculations from the world of Apple. Today's episode will be entirely about news related to the next iPhones. This time it won't just be about this year's iPhones - there is also an interesting news that concerns the future iPhones 15.

iPhones without a notch in 2023

In the last installment of our regular roundup of speculation, we among others informed about it, that this year's iPhones could receive sensors for Face ID located under the display glass. During the past week, analyst Ross Young let it be known that users could expect iPhones next year, which should completely lack any cutouts and other openings in the upper part of the display. Young cites sources from Apple's supply chains to make his claim. According to Young, Apple has been testing various designs for placing the relevant sensors under the iPhone's display for a long time, and the current prototypes are already developing well enough that we could actually see iPhones without cutouts as early as next year.

iPhone 14's super powerful camera

The second part of our roundup of speculations today is also related to future iPhones. In this case, however, it will be this year's iPhones 14 and their cameras. According to Taiwanese company TrendForce, the iPhone 14 Pro could theoretically boast a 48MP wide-angle rear camera, which is a really big leap from last year's iPhone 13 Pro cameras. TrendForce is not the only source talking about this possibility.

The theory about the mentioned photographic equipment of this year's iPhones is supported, for example, by the famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, according to whom the iPhone 14 Pro should also offer support for recording videos in 8K. According to the information so far, the new iPhones should traditionally be presented in September this year. Apple should come out with a total of four new models this year – 6,1″ iPhone 14, 6,7″ iPhone 14 Max, 6,1″ iPhone 14 Pro and 6,7″ iPhone 14 Pro Max. The last two named models should be equipped with a 48MP rear camera.
