When Apple introduced the second generation of the popular iPhone SE last spring, it created a lot of excitement among many users. According to recent reports, it looks like we could be seeing a third generation of this popular model, and that the wait shouldn't be nearly as long as the second generation. It is the third-generation iPhone SE that will be discussed in our roundup of speculations today, in addition, we will also mention the flexible iPhone and other future products after a long time.

Introducing the iPhone SE next year

Perhaps since the beginning of this year, there has been speculation that the third generation of the iPhone SE should see the light of day in 2022. Not only some analysts agree on this - reports of this type also come from sources from among Apple suppliers. Last week, for example, a new report surfaced in this context, where the originator of this claim was none other than TrendForce's supply chain sources.

According to them, the introduction of the new generation iPhone SE should take place during the first quarter of next year, i.e. similar to the iPhone SE 2020. As for the technical specifications, the mentioned source did not reveal any details, but analysts have already agreed in the past, for example, on 5G support network, a design similar to the previous generation, or perhaps on an improved processor.

The concept of a flexible iPhone

In today's roundup of speculations, after a long time, we will talk about the flexible iPhone again, but this time it will not be the latest leak, but a rather successful and interesting concept. It appeared on the YouTube server during the past week, specifically on the channel called #ios beta news.

In the video called iPhone 14 Flip, we can see shots of the phone, which at first glance does not differ much from the latest models. On the back side, however, we can see a small square external display next to the camera, in another shot we can already see how the iPhone bends – interestingly, no joint or hinge is visible on the model in the video.

The possible arrival of a flexible iPhone has been speculated for a long time, and according to available information, Apple is indeed working on it. However, according to the latest reports, the development is slower than originally expected, and according to the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, we will most likely not see the flexible Apple smartphone before 2024.

Apple and other smart wearable electronics

Today, most of us perceive smart watches as a matter of course and a handy addition to a smartphone. But there are obviously many more possibilities in the field of smart wearable electronics, including bracelets and necklaces. And the possibility that we could expect accessories of this type from Apple in the future is also not excluded.

This is evidenced by a recently published patent that describes the Cupertino company's possible plans for a smart necklace or bracelet. The patent very generally describes a wearable device that could be equipped with various types of sensors, have a haptic response or maybe LED indicators or speakers. Said wearable device could have the ability to collect information about the user's location, as well as health or biometric data, and could also serve for identification purposes. In addition to a bracelet or necklace, it could also be a certain form of key ring.
