Today's summary of the events of the past day in the field of IT will this time be largely characterized by leaks - we will devote two out of three paragraphs today to them. The first leak is photos of a gaming smartphone from Lenovo, which should see the light of day as soon as possible. The second leaked device was Google's Pixel Buds wireless headphones in green. In the last part of today's article, we will focus on the spread of phishing on the LinkedIn network.

Gaming smartphone from Lenovo

On the website of Jablíčkára, we rarely report on smartphones from workshops of companies other than Apple, but this piece certainly deserves its place in our regular summary of the day. This is an upcoming gaming smartphone from Lenovo, which has not yet been officially unveiled, but alleged leaked photos of it have already appeared on the Internet. The device itself looks really remarkable, and The Verge, for example, compared it to a transformer. The mentioned photos appeared on the Chinese social network Weibo, and we can see a very peculiar phone with a dual camera and integrated active cooling. We could notice the presence of cooling in the smartphone already in 2019, when this feature was introduced in the gaming smartphone Nubia Red Magic 3. Lenovo released its first gaming smartphone last year, and this model has already received some criticism from laymen and experts due to its slightly bizarre appearance. The gaming smartphone Lenovo Legion Phone 2 should see the light of day in the first half of April in China, but it is not yet certain when it will be available in other countries of the world.

Google headphones leak

Another part of our roundup of the past day this morning will also cover the leak. This time, for a change, it will be an alleged leak of photos of upcoming wireless headphones from Google's workshop called Pixel Buds, namely a model in green. You could already see the Pixel Buds headphones in white, orange, mint or black, but according to available information, the green color variant should be reserved for their third generation. Very interesting is the way in which the mentioned photo of the green Pixel Buds headphones got to the public - the images were sent to Google Nest mailing recipients this Tuesday. The photos reveal more about the third-generation Pixel Buds than just what color they will actually be. In the pictures, we can notice several interesting details, such as the placement of the charge indicator on the top of the case with headphones. The Pixel Buds wireless headphones are sometimes called the “AirPods for Android”. The first generation of these headphones was introduced by Google in November 2017, and the second generation was introduced the following year.

Phishing on LinkedIn

Unfortunately, the Internet and networks also have some negative phenomena, among which is also the so-called phishing, i.e. a fraudulent way of obtaining money from unsuspecting users. Unfortunately, phishing has not escaped the professional social network LinkedIn recently. Security firm eSentire released a report earlier this week saying a group of attackers had started spreading fake job offers through the network. A text with a compressed .zip file containing malware lands in the inbox. This is a program that allows other programs to get into the device of the attacked user, where then sensitive data about payment cards and internet banking is stolen. In this regard, the management of the LinkedIn platform stated that it constantly takes all necessary steps to detect possible fake accounts and fraudulent messages and payments. If a fraudulent account is detected, it will be blocked immediately.
