The summary of the day is usually a bit shorter after the weekend, but that does not mean that the events mentioned in it are completely uninteresting. One of the news that appeared during the past weekend is the news about the upcoming paid version of the social network Twitter. This service should be called Twitter Blue, and users should get a number of benefits and various bonus functions for a few tens of crowns a month. In addition to Twitter, we will also talk about the Google Maps application, which in some of its versions has started to encourage users to look for vaccination centers on the maps.
Twitter is preparing a subscription service
In connection with the social network Twitter, the use of which is completely free for common reasons, there was talk in the past about the possible introduction of a paid premium service that would work on the principle of a regular subscription. At the end of last week, there were reports that indicate that the introduction of a paid version of Twitter is most likely indeed on the way. The service should be called Twitter Blue, and the monthly subscription should be $2,99 - roughly 63 crowns.
The future paid version of Twitter was mentioned by Jane Manchun Wong, who further stated that premium Twitter subscribers should get bonus features such as the ability to quickly correct a written tweet or the ability to save posts to their own collections, which will allow users to easily and quickly find their favorite posts . At the time of writing, Twitter declined to comment on speculation about Twitter Blue.
Twitter is calling their upcoming Subscription Service “Twitter Blue”, priced at $ 2.99 / month for now, including paid features like:

Google Maps will encourage vaccination
Not long after the COVID-19 pandemic spread around the world, various mapping and navigation apps became involved in helping people during the pandemic. Some applications offered, for example, the possibility of sharing the location for possible reporting of contacts with infection, but there were also functions such as the ability to quickly and easily search for places where testing for COVID-19 is taking place. The Google Maps application is no exception in this regard - Google Maps is now involved in the field of vaccination.
Not only does it offer the ability to search for vaccination centers, but in some versions of this app, a small pill icon has newly appeared at the top of the screen along with a prompt for users to find places where they can get vaccinated against COVID-19. So far, the mentioned icon appears only in the version of Google Maps for smartphones with the Android operating system, in the iOS version of this application no prompts of this type have appeared yet. However, some users also report the appearance of a call to search for vaccination centers in the web version of Google Maps directly in the search bar. In addition to this new function, Google Maps has been offering for some time in connection with the coronavirus, for example, the possibility to display related news, in the web version you can have a map of the occurrence of the disease displayed, in the application and in the web version you can also search for individual vaccination centers.
Unfortunately, from the user's point of view, Twiiter will go down probably the worst possible path, where it will both be for money, but at the same time it will also continue to collect user data. Like Spotify, where paid Premium only removes ads, but data collection remains. In principle, I would never buy such a paid service.
