Discussion platform Reddit has been doing better and better lately. This week there was a report that the value of this more popular platform has even crossed the ten billion dollar mark.

The discussion platform Reddit has been very popular among Internet users for many years. According to the latest news, Reddit is gradually becoming a successful giant, which has now crossed the $140 billion mark after raising $700 million in funding from investors. The final expected amount should then rise to XNUMX million dollars. At the same time, Reddit is also working to make its content as harmless as possible. All manifestations of racism, misogyny and others are actively removed from the discussion forums on this platform. Reddit wants to pave the way to becoming a publicly traded company in the near future.

The co-founder of the Reddit platform, Steve Huffman, recently confirmed that Reddit as a publicly traded company is 52% in the plan, but added that its operators have not yet set a specific time frame. But Huffman believes that all good companies should become publicly traded when they can. At the moment, the Reddit platform profits the most from advertising, but compared to giants among social networks, such as Facebook, it is still a relatively insignificant income. Reddit currently boasts 2005 million daily active users and over a hundred thousand active subreddits. As such, Reddit was founded in XNUMX by Alexis Ohanian and Steve Huffman.

New features in Google Meet

After some time, Google has again decided to enrich its communication platform Google Meet with several new functions. This time, the features are related to control and private messages within Google Meet. Users can now add up to twenty-five additional guest participants in a virtual conference. These participants will have access to control the entire conference, and will be able to decide things like who can share screen content, send messages in the chat, and also be able to mute all other participants with a single click, or end the entire meeting.

Users of the Google Meet platform will also gain the ability to block anonymous users from accessing an ongoing meeting, or to allow invited users to automatically join a meeting without a prior request. Users of the Google Meet app for iOS devices will get the new features on August 30.
