Speculation began this week that Microsoft itself would be interested in the acquisition of this platform, which this year, for example, also decided to buy the game company Bethesda. Bloomberg reported yesterday that Microsoft could buy Discord for more than ten million dollars, citing well-informed sources in its report. For a change, VentureBeat magazine reported that Discord was looking for a buyer, and that negotiations were nearing a successful conclusion, even before the publication of Bloomberg's report. Neither Microsoft nor Discord have commented on the potential acquisition at the time of writing.

Less than five years after the launch of Pokémon Go, Niantic has announced that it is partnering with Nintendo. A brand new game title from the Nintendo Pikmin franchise is to emerge from this collaboration.
