End-to-end encryption in Microsoft Teams

Microsoft announced this week that it will finally add the long-awaited end-to-end encryption feature to its MS Teams communication platform. The first version of "Teams" for commercial customers, enriched with end-to-end encryption, should see the light of day during the first half of this year. End-to-end encryption will (for now) only be available for unscheduled one-to-one calls. With this type of encryption, Microsoft targets in particular cases where sensitive and confidential information is transferred via MS Teams - for example, during an employee's consultation with an IT department employee. But it will definitely not stay with this scheme - Microsoft plans to extend the end-to-end encryption function to scheduled calls and online meetings over time. As far as Microsoft's competition is concerned, end-to-end encryption has been available on the Zoom platform since last October, while it is still only being planned for the Slack platform.

Volvo and the transition to electric vehicles

Swedish carmaker Volvo announced earlier this week that it plans to switch completely to electric vehicles by 2030. As part of this transition, he wants to gradually get rid of diesel, gasoline and hybrid variants, the aim of this meeting is to reduce global carbon emissions. The aforementioned car company originally stated that by 2025, half of its portfolio should be made up of electronic cars, but the strong demand for this type of car, according to its representatives, forced it to significantly speed up this process. Volvo is certainly not holding back in its futuristic plans – for example, its representatives also stated that the sale of electric cars could take place exclusively online in the future. Volvo, which is owned by Chinese conglomerate Geely, unveiled its first fully electric car – the XC40 Recharger – last year.
