Yesterday, among other things, went down in history as the moment when humanity - or at least a part of it - got a little closer to more massive space tourism. Yesterday, the New Shepard rocket launched, with four people on board, including the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos. The crew of the New Shepard rocket spent eleven minutes in space and returned to Earth without incident.

Jeff Bezos flew into space

Yesterday in the afternoon of our time, the New Shepard 2.0 rocket took off from the One spaceport in Texas, on board of which there were Airwoman Wally Funk, the owner of Amazon and the founder of Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos, his brother Mark and Oliver Daemen - the eighteen-year-old who won the auction about a space flight with Jeff Bezos. It was an automatic fast flight, and the crew returned to the ground in about a quarter of an hour. During their flight, the crew members reached a state of weightlessness for a few minutes, and for a small moment there was also a crossing of the border with space. The launch of the New Shepard 2.0 rocket could be watched via an online broadcast on the Internet - see the video below. “We know the rocket is safe. If it's not safe for me, it's not safe for anyone else,” stated before the flight Jeff Bezos in connection with the safety of his flight. The New Shepard rocket launched for the first time in 2015, but the flight was not very successful and there was a failure during the landing attempt. All other New Shepard flights have gone well. About four minutes after liftoff, the rocket reached its highest point, then landed safely in the Texas desert while the crew module remained in space for a while before landing safely.

The United States has accused China of hacking Microsoft Exchange servers

US President Joe Biden's cabinet made the accusation against China earlier this week. The United States blames China for a cyberattack on the Microsoft Exchange email server that occurred in the first half of this year. The hackers, who were linked to China's Ministry of State Security according to the US accusations, compromised tens of thousands of computers and computer networks around the world. In the course of the aforementioned cyber attack, among other things, a huge amount of e-mails were stolen from a number of companies and organizations, including law firms, higher education institutions and a number of non-governmental organizations.

The United States claims that China's Ministry of State Security has created its own ecosystem of contract hackers working under its auspices for its own profit. In addition to the United States, the European Union, Great Britain, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Japan and NATO have also joined in criticizing China's malicious activities in cyberspace. In addition, the US Department of Justice announced earlier this Monday that it has indicted four Chinese nationals who allegedly collaborated with China's Ministry of State Security in a large-scale hacking operation that took place between 2011 and 2018. The operation involved attacks on a number of different companies and institutions, as well as universities and government entities, to steal intellectual property and confidential business information.
