Support for the HomeKit platform and AirPlay 2 technology from Apple was one of the topics of the CES fair last year, when mainly manufacturers came up with this innovation smart TVs. This trend continues at this year's CES – for example, Sony presented here on Monday a redesigned line of its flat LED and OLED TVs, all models of which offer HomeKit and AirPlay 2 support.

While we can take HomeKit and AirPlay 2 support for these Sony TV models as 2%, there was unfortunately not a word (yet) at the fair about support for the Apple TV application. Sony introduced support for the HomeKit platform and AirPlay 2018 technology in selected models of its 2019 and XNUMX smart TVs already in December of last year, but new models also received it.

At CES 2020, Sony presented a number of new models of its smart TVs in 8K LED, 4K OLED and 4K LED variants. All models boast significantly improved sound and image quality, and Sony has equipped the models of its new product line with the X1 Ultimate image processor, which until now was only available on high-end models. Furthermore, the new models will be able to boast the Sound-from-Picture Reality function, thanks to which there is a better matching of sound with the picture, or the Ambient Optimization function, which serves to calibrate the quality of the picture and sound. They will also offer support for Netflix Calibrated Mode, Imax Enhanced and Dolby Vision / Atmos.
