The user-popular and "trendy" social-media network Snapchat has received another update. The Stories and Discover sections have undergone changes, which are now clearer and much more visible to all users.

The most striking element of the new look are the large tile icons, both in the Stories section and in the Discover section. The publisher can use these graphic elements to offer their visual content to users in a much more accessible form and thus increase their visibility.

Broadcasting live broadcasts, so-called Live Stories, is also becoming more and more popular on Snapchat. Although this did not undergo any significant changes in the new update, it was again offered to users in a more accessible way. Live Stories can be found immediately under Recent Updates, which primarily aims to attract more attention from users. The live stream can be accessed directly from both main pages.

An interesting novelty is the removal of favorite channels. Users can now see the content of their subscribed channels in the Stories section immediately below the posted pictures or videos from their friends. If they unsubscribe from that channel, it will continue to appear on the Discover page. The channel can be removed by pressing and holding your finger on the given "story".

These changes are a clear indicator that the company wants to continue to strengthen its name based on advertising, which is currently Snapchat's main source of revenue. Above all, subscribing to channels should clearly help with this. Big companies such as Buzzfeed, MTV and Mashable appear on Snapchat, among others, and apparently this popular social network wants to expand its base of similar names even more.
