Services from UPC are already available to almost 1,53 million households

Press Release: UPC Česká republika, which is part of Liberty Global, the world's largest international provider of TV and broadband services, expanded its reach last year thanks to investments in its optical giga-ready network. Its digital services in the Czech Republic were thus made available to up to 2018 households at the end of December 1, which represents an increase of up to 529 households year-on-year.

Superfast internet from UPC reached another milestone in 2018. The number of households using internet connection from UPC Czech Republic exceeded 500 (000 at the end of 506). UPC Internet offers customers transmission speeds of up to 100 Mb/s.

"Last year, constant investments in the network and end devices allowed us to significantly increase transmission speeds not only for new customers, but also for existing customers, and we are constantly improving customer satisfaction by replacing modems with top WiFI routers, Connect Boxes. At the same time, we expanded our TV offer throughout the year, adding new HD stations and new titles to the MyPrime video library. I am convinced that we will continue the current trend this year as well," says Martin Miller, CEO of UPC Czech and Slovak Republic.

The company also reached an all-time high for its service users (RGUs) last year. The total number of TV, Internet and telephone services reached a record 2018 at the end of December 1, which is up by 239 services compared to the same period in 400.
