After weeks of speculation and anticipation, the Amazon Prime Video app has finally officially arrived on Apple TV, allowing users to watch the video library and all other associated services belonging to Amazon Prime. All those who subscribe to Amazon Prime Video and have a compatible Apple TV (the app is available for the third generation and later) can download it from the App Store and start using it without any worries. Apple already hinted at the release of this official application at this year's WWDC conference, since then enthusiastic owners of Prime accounts have been waiting for when they can "drag" their favorite service to their television. After almost half a year, the wait is over.

Along with the release of the Apple TV version, the iPhone and iPad apps are also updated. The iOS update also includes support for the new iPhone X. Originally, Amazon's video library was supposed to appear on Apple TV already during the summer, but complications arose in the final development phase and everything was delayed by several months. In the last few days of the app's release, the iOS app's changelog basically leaked, in which the TV app was mentioned several times.

Amazon Prime will not be as popular in the Czech Republic as, for example, competitor Netflix. However, the company is trying to create as much original content as possible to entice its customers to buy Prime. For our people, Amazon Prime is not a very attractive service considering how (un)widespread shopping on Amazon is in the Czech Republic. However, within their video library, it is possible to find many interesting series and shows that can potentially be worth the subscription. Currently, it is possible to subscribe to Amazon Prime Video for €3 per month, with the fact that after half a year of use the subscription price will increase to the original €6 per month.
