Everyone uses something different to search for public transport connections and timetables, as we have several options. The newest player is Seznam.cz, which has launched a beta version of its own timetables, and they also have an application for iPhones.
For timetables in the Czech Republic, applications such as IDOS, CG Transit whether Google Maps. In general, however, the problem in our market is that all the source data of the timetables for the Czech Republic is owned by the company Chaps, and despite strong protests from the competition, they hold a monopoly.
Seznam.cz has been fighting with Chaps for seven years in various ways, including the courts, and although it has so far been unsuccessful, it has managed to launch at least a beta version of its own timetables.
You can find timetables from Seznam as a separate web service at seznam.cz/jizdnirady, but above all also in the App Store under the application Pubtran, which until now only existed for Android. The list has also been transferred to iOS, so searching is very easy even on a mobile phone.
The list of timetables has logically linked them with map materials from Mapy.cz, which means that you can also look at the entire connection on the map, and at the same time, the timetables will present you with complete information, including the time to move, and find the nearest stop from the place you need to get to .
As for the Pubtran application itself, it is very simple. On the main screen, you have a search field where you can specify which means you (don't) want to travel by, and the integrated Timetables will then present you with the ideal connection. With the Prague metro, it's nice that Pubtran also shows you which car is the most advantageous to board when, for example, you're changing trains.
If you miss the offered train or you want to see what other options are available, just swipe from right to left on the given connection and you will see the next one in order. If, in the event of a later departure, you would miss the connecting metro, tram, bus or anything else, the following connection will be colored red as a warning. But again, just swipe until you get to the next one.
Seznam also offers the purchase of electronic tickets in the mobile application where possible, so you won't need another application here either. And if you're traveling abroad, they can please you with complete timetables for Switzerland as well as selected cities in Spain, Italy and France.

Well, if it really was downloadable, it could be interesting. So far…..
You can download it via the QR code here on the website :)
That's Apple's problem, it hasn't had time to index the app yet. According to its terms, it has 24 hours from release.
It's already there
Exactly... I couldn't find it on the Appstore either, but you can find it here via the QR code.
quickly tested and great, works faster than IDOS, nice graphics, great that it immediately offers SMS tickets - we'll see after a few days/weeks of use :)
When you find out that Pubtran finds you a connection that doesn't exist and misses a lot of existing connections, you will understand that relying on PubTran is a guarantee of double the travel time.
Interesting that you can't find it on the appstore, but you can via the link on your website :)
Timetables from Seznam will always cost a pittance if you don't buy a license from IDOS.
I deliberately tried one future route Stavěšice -> Prague on Sunday 20.8. First of all, in the List (default settings - i.e. everything from the menu, I only specified the time and date of departure) naively up to the public transport station in Prague, when it already offered it.. Search and.. nothing. "The route could not be planned". Okay, maybe that's too much. So I'll try it only in Prague. Same result.
So I checked for idos just to be sure and lo and behold. He not only planned the route, but also in several variants.
So now all the other described features are useless to me if I can't even get past the beginning..
