The holder itself consists of three pieces. The first is the body, on the ball joint of which you put the nut and the magnetic head. You then tighten the nut according to how firm you want it to be. The head then contains a USB-C connector on the bottom, to which you connect the included one-meter cable, which ends with a USB-A connector on the other end. And that's definitely a good thing, because cars haven't adopted USB-C yet, and especially classic USB is widespread even across older cars. Basically, you don't even need an adapter for the car lighter.

The head then has LEDs on both sides that signal charging in blue. Of course, this happens wirelessly using MagSafe technology. Yenkee states that its charger supports fast charging with an output power of up to 15W (but it can also do 5, 7,5, or 10W), which is exactly what MagSafe allows. Thanks to the smart chip, the charger then recognizes your device and starts charging it with optimal power.
To achieve fast charging, however, it is necessary that an adapter with QC 3.0 or PD 20W technology be connected to the charger. In this case, the MagSafe animation will also appear on the iPhone display. The claimed charging efficiency is 73%. Qi wireless technology ensures compatibility with other phones, but in the package you won't find any stickers that you would apply to their backs so that they hold ideally on the holder.
Maximum flexibility
The body of the charger has very strong jaws, so it holds perfectly in the ventilation grid. You can also support it with a foot, which can be freely adjusted exactly to suit any solution in the car. Thanks to the ball joint, the head can be turned according to your needs. Of course, you can also achieve the perfect angle by turning the phone, which can be either portrait or landscape, because the magnets are circular and you can therefore rotate it through a full 360°.

The holder is equipped with a foreign object detector and protection against overheating, input overvoltage and output overcurrent. The weight of the entire solution without the attached phone is only 45 g, the material used is ABS + acrylic. The light weight is of course important so that the whole solution does not fall down with your phone. However, this did not happen even with the iPhone 13 Pro Max on many potholed South Bohemian roads. Of course, covers are also fine, but in this case I would definitely avoid them, because after all, the point is to keep your iPhone on the holder as firmly as possible, which will not be the case with a cover. However, the entire solution should hold 350 g.
So if you are looking for an ideally small, light and maximally flexible holder for your travels, which you don't want to have on the dashboard but in the ventilation grill of your car, the Yenkee YSM 615 is actually ideal. The iPhone 13 pro fits perfectly without the cover, there is already a problem with the cover. The cover, specifically from Fixed, has a raised frame around the camera lens for protection, which unfortunately prevents the magnet of the holder from fitting in, and instead the frame of the cover rests... I think there will be a problem with other covers and the compatibility of the holder for the iPhone 13. There was no problem with the 12.
