The purchase of my first MacBook also involved the purchase of a quality backpack. I've always been a sporty person, so I've always had a Nike backpack to keep me company. But the model I owned at the time definitely didn't meet my requirements for protecting the MacBook and comfortably carrying things other than just clothes.

The search was long. I visited countless stores (including online ones) to see what they had to offer. I had several backpacks in my closet, but for my first MacBook I just wanted something proper, better. One day I finally came across the ideal candidate in the Apple Online Store, I discovered the Thule brand.

I had certain requirements that my backpack should meet. On the one hand, I was concerned about safety when carrying the work tool, and on the other hand, waterproofing was important to me, because I often move around the city with a backpack and often encounter rain. Another thing I wanted was clarity. Simple pockets for various things that I always want to have with me. No single pocket to throw clothes, chargers, hygiene items and the like into. It is ideal to have everything clearly and safely stored.

Thanks to these claims, I chose a favorite. After studying all possible variants, the choice fell on the Thule Crossover model with a volume of 25 liters.

The Thule Crossover backpack is made of nylon and consists of two pockets. The larger one also contains a compartment for a Macbook, easily up to seventeen inches. In the remaining part of the pocket, you store things as needed. The second pocket is already somewhat smaller. It offers two smaller zipped pockets, one of which is "wrapped" and is suitable for storing liquids, for example. The second is classically netted. You will also find two smaller pockets in the backpack, which can fit, for example, a Magic Mouse, headphones or an iPod. Right next to it is a place for pens, pencils and other writing utensils.

There is a vertical zip on the front, which opens to access the cable pocket. In the lower part, there is again a mesh that can fit, for example, an extension cable for a MacBook and a spare cable for an iPhone, which you don't need so often. MagSafe, a second iPhone cable and other things fit in the rest of the pocket.

On the sides of the backpack you will find two pockets, ideal for e.g. a half-liter drink. At the top is the last pocket, which is called the SafeZone. This is a thermally shaped space that will protect your iPhone, sunglasses or other fragile items from impacts. This pocket can also be locked after purchasing a small lock. If the SafeZone does not suit you or you need more space, it can be easily removed.

straps with which you can pull the backpack down, and thus convey that after a quick run to the train, you will have everything upside down. The shoulder straps are made of EVA material with a mesh surface and are breathable. Of course, the fabric is water-resistant and the back is slightly shaped for a more comfortable wear.

I have been using the services of the Thule Crossover backpack for 15 months now and I cannot praise it enough. For a technically minded person who carries a laptop, countless cables, chargers, flash drives, etc. and at the same time likes order and organization, this backpack is an ideal option. During weekend trips, I always put everything I needed for a few days in the backpack, whether it was clothes, a toothbrush, etc., so you can handle even smaller trips with the Thule Crossover backpack. It can be purchased directly from the Apple Online Store for 2 crowns.
