Power banks differ from each other in all sorts of specifications, whether it is capacity, connectors, processing and much more. Therefore, before choosing, you should at least clarify these basic features and determine them so that the following selection is narrower and easier for you. In virtually all of our reviews, we start with the official specs – and the Swissten Aluminum Body powerbank is no different. These power banks are specifically available in a total of two capacities, namely the popular 10.000 mAh or the slightly larger 20.000 mAh. In terms of connector equipment, these power banks are similar, but not the same. For better clarity, I have attached a list below, in which you can view and compare the official specifications. I'll just mention at the end of the paragraph that you can buy both power banks with up to 15% discount - you can find all the information at the end of the article.

Packing

Like other Swissten accessories, the Swissten Aluminum Body power banks are packed in traditional white-red boxes. On the front side, you will find the power bank itself depicted with labels for individual connectors, information on capacity, etc. The back side contains detailed specifications and information, together with the user manual, which is therefore not unnecessarily inside the box. After opening the box, just pull out the plastic carrying case, which already contains the power bank itself. In addition to it, you will also find a USB-C - USB-C cable with a length of 1 meter in the package.

Processing

As I mentioned above, or as you can tell from the name, Swissten Aluminum Body power banks are made of aluminum. Thanks to this, it feels really luxurious and exclusive in the hand, and immediately after grasping it, the coldness of aluminum is transferred to your fingers, which is identical for metal. On the upper part of the power bank, there is Swissten branding at the bottom, with the fact that on one of the sides, closer to the front part of the connectors, you will find a metal button for activating the power bank, which also looks very high-quality. The underside of the power bank also contains classically small labels with the necessary certificates and specifications. As for the connectors, as mentioned above – both powerbanks offer 2x USB-A, 1x USB-C and 1x Micro USB, however, they differ in performance.

On Swissten Aluminum Body power banks, in addition to the processing, I also really like the display that informs you of the state of its charge. However, it is necessary to mention that you simply have no chance to notice the display at first glance. It is located on the front side, in the middle between the connectors, where it seems that there is simply nothing. As soon as you press the activation button of the power bank, the percentage will be displayed. I can't figure out how Swissten managed to hide the display behind plastic like that, but it's definitely an impressive feature. Swissten Aluminum Body power banks otherwise feel very robust in the hand, mainly due to the aluminum used, which causes more weight. Even in the event of a possible fall, I would definitely not worry about the functionality of the power bank. In any case, if you actively use it, the body will most likely get scratched after some time, which is completely normal for aluminum.

Personal experience

Since I really liked the Swissten Aluminum Body power banks, they became the primary power banks that I used practically every day for several weeks. To be honest, I liked the smaller 10.000 mAh power bank the most, mainly because of its better storage and lower weight. Anyway, if I was planning to go somewhere without electricity for an extended period of time, I would definitely go for the larger model. Due to the maximum performance, you can quickly charge an iPhone or other smartphone, various accessories, etc. with Swissten Aluminum Body power banks without any problems - but of course this is completely normal. The good news is that you can charge an iPad and even a MacBook with these power banks without any problems, which surprised me. For an Apple computer, it is more precisely a matter of slowing down the discharge rather than actual charging, but it still comes in handy. Many similar powerbanks either simply do not charge the MacBook at all, or are constantly being disconnected and connected and other similar things.

As part of my personal experience, I want to return to the aforementioned display, which honestly surprised me. In addition to the current capacity of the power bank, it can also display information on whether the device is currently charging using Power Delivery (the PD icon appears), which lets you know that fast charging is taking place. Otherwise, I did not encounter any problems during testing that would in any way limit my enthusiasm for the Swissten Aluminum Body power bank. The aluminum design stands out perfectly next to a MacBook or an iPad, as both of these devices also primarily use aluminum. Although it is true that, in terms of color, the Swissten Aluminum Body power banks are rather space gray, in other words, perhaps a little darker. But this is such a small and insignificant detail that does not affect the functionality in any way. The mentioned power banks do not heat up in any way during charging and simply work as expected.
