Although touch screens on smartphones are certainly a great thing that makes our lives easier on a daily basis thanks to very friendly controls, they do have one drawback – they are prone to cracking or various scratches when dropped. However, these problems can largely be eliminated by purchasing quality tempered glass. But how do you choose one that you can rely on in any situation?

Probably the best option is to buy glass from a verified manufacturer, among which the Danish company PanzerGlass has been rightfully ranked for many years. Its glasses are very popular among smartphone users, so you probably won't be surprised that when a few test pieces came to our editorial office, we didn't hesitate for a moment and took them apart in the blink of an eye. So let's take a look at a few lines about this fierce protector of your phone.

When you first open the box with tempered glass, which, by the way, at least in my opinion, is very nicely processed, you will find the traditional "glue" equipment. There is a wet wipe to remove coarse dirt from the display, an orange microfiber cloth, which of course has the PanzerGlass logo on it, a special sticker to remove the last dust particles, instructions for applying the glass and, of course, the glass itself. Even thanks to this equipment, gluing the glass is very simple and fast. PanzerGlass has already prepared all the necessary mattes.

But let's focus for a moment on the glass itself. This is because it is made to cover the entire front of the phone, therefore also the area around the Home Button and in the upper part around the sensors. Because of this, it is probably clear that PanzerGlass produces it in both black and white versions. Since the sizes of the iPhone 6, 6s, 7 and 8 are the same and the same applies to the 6 Plus, 6s Plus, 7 Plus and 8 Plus, you have no problem applying it to any of these models.

When I glued the glass to my test iPhone 6, I did not avoid a few small mistakes and about three specks of dust slipped under it. Apart from three tiny bubbles, which you won't even notice on the phone's display when using it, the glass stuck really well to the display thanks to the special silicone glue. The only thing you have to do after you "arrange" the glass on the display is to press on its center. The glass then adheres very quickly to the entire display and ensures its protection. However, if you did manage to create air bubbles that were not caused by my clumsiness, as in my case, you simply push them towards the edges of the phone.

And what impression does the glass make on me after a few days? Perfect. It will do exactly what you expect from it – it will protect your phone without you even knowing about it. The touch control of the phone is absolutely great even after sticking the glass. A special oleophobic layer is also a pleasant benefit, thanks to which visible fingerprints and no other unsightly smudges remain on the display. You don't even have to worry about falling to the ground with this glass. Thanks to the glass thickness of 0,4 mm, your display is completely safe. After all, not to either. Glass from PanzerGlass has been among the top in the industry for many years.

In addition, the CR7 edition also features a specially applied logo of the Portuguese footballer defending the colors of the white ballet, Cristiano Ronaldo, which PanzerGlass has placed right in the middle. However, you don't have to worry about not being able to see the display through it. The logo is only visible when the display is turned off. However, if you unlock the display, the logo disappears and almost never limits you when using the phone. However, the word almost is quite important, because from time to time you will find yourself in a situation where you will notice the logo on the lit display. However, it is by no means anything that would really interfere with using the phone, and most of the time it only takes a slight change of viewing angle to make the logo disappear. This glass is definitely an interesting accessory for CR7 fans.

However, in order not only to praise, let's also look at one dark side. For example, I perceive the fact that this particular glass in the CR7 edition is relatively small and does not reach the edges of your iPhone's display as a slight drawback. On the other hand, this is not a huge unprotected gap, so there is definitely no cause for concern. Personally, I think that PanzerGlass went for the glass not reaching all the way to the edges simply to avoid the inconvenience of some covers pushing it out. It is precisely some covers that hug the iPhone over its sides so significantly that the hardened glass peels off with their pressure. However, you definitely don't have to worry about this problem with PanzerGlass. I've tried about 5 cases of all kinds, colors, and sizes on my iPhone, and not one of them has had me reach the glass and start ripping it off the phone. However, if glass that does not reach the edges would bother you, you can easily go for another type. PanzerGlass really has a lot of them on offer, and you can find those that go all the way to the edge.

The edges of the glass, which are, at least for my taste, polished quite a bit and may seem slightly sharp to some users, are also a minor drawback. However, if you use a cover that hugs the phone from all sides, you won't even notice this minor ailment.

So how to evaluate the whole glass? Like almost perfect. Although you practically do not know about it after its application, thanks to it your phone is protected by a truly premium product that you can rely on. In addition, the CR7 logo very nicely enlivens the dimmed display and adds to its attractiveness. So if you're looking for quality tempered glass and you're also a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, we've probably found a clear choice for you. You definitely won't burn yourself by buying it.
