Apple picker Press Release: QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading innovator in computing, networking and storage solutions, has introduced a 4-bay TS-464 and 6-position TS-664 a quad-core 2,5GbE NAS device designed for professionals and office users with high-speed requirements. With M.2 NVMe SSD slots, PCIe Gen 3 expandability support for 10GbE or 5GbE connections, and 4K HDMI output, the TS-x64 not only enables the installation of a QM2 card for M.2 SSD cache, but also the convenient display of virtual machines and smooth multimedia streaming. TS-x64 is also supported images, which help protect data from ransomware threats.
"Integrating a high-performance Intel Celeron processor and providing 2,5GbE speed, M.2 PCIe Gen 3 slots and PCIe Gen 3 expansion slots, QNAP's TS-x64 features high-end hardware to meet the demands of high-bandwidth data transmission and virtualization application,” said Meiji Chang, general manager of QNAP.

The TS-x64 is equipped with an Intel® Celeron® N5105/ N5095 quad-core quad-thread processor (up to 2,9GHz) with an Intel® AES-NI encryption module and support for up to 16GB of dual-channel memory. The TS-x64 has two 2,5GbE ports, two USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) ports for faster data transfer and backup. Thanks to the M.2 PCIe Gen3 slots, the TS-x64 allows the use of SSD cache or SSD data volumes for better performance. The TS-x64 has a PCIe Gen 3 slot allowing the installation of a 10GbE network card, QM2 cards for NVMe SSD cache or Qtier. The storage capacity of the TS-x64 can be expanded by connecting TL and TR storage expansion units.
The TS-x64 is equipped with the latest operating system QTS 5.0 and includes rich NAS applications for homes and businesses: HBS (Hybrid Backup Sync) effectively realizes backup tasks at the local/remote/cloud level; block snapshots facilitate data protection and recovery and effectively reduce ransomware threats; HybridMount provides cloud storage gateways that integrate private and public cloud storage and enable local caching; Virtualization Station and Container Station enable lightweight virtualization applications; QVR Elite helps to implement a high-end intelligent surveillance system. To combat cyber threats, TS-x64 provides authentication management, QVPN (WireGuard® support), Malware Remover and Security Counselor for better NAS security. Home users will also appreciate a wide range of multimedia applications (including Plex®), streaming capabilities and a built-in HDMI port to enjoy multimedia on their chosen device.
