Press Release: QNAP introduced TR-002, a 2-slot RAID storage expansion device that can be used as hardware RAID storage for Windows/macOS/Linux computers and NAS. The TR-002 connects to a PC or NAS via USB 3.1 Gen XNUMX Type-C and provides a reliable storage solution for a variety of user requirements.

The TR-002 model supports storage configurations in the form of: Individual, JBOD and RAID 0/1. QNAP NAS users can use the TR-002 with their NAS to set up RAID parameters and create a storage pool using the "Storage and Snapshots" application in QTS. In addition, the TR-002 can be used as an external NAS storage device. Windows, macOS and Linux users with limited upgrade options can use the TR-002 as an expansion unit. Specialized tool QNAP External RAID Manager (Windows/macOS) can then help them view disk status, change RAID configurations, verify logs, and update TR-002 firmware.

“QNAP's first RAID storage expansion device (model TR-004) has won a lot of awards since its initial launch. QNAP now introduces a 2-slot version, the TR-002, which supports USB 3.1 Gen 002 connectivity and allows NAS and PC users to take advantage of the TR-XNUMX's high-speed data transfer with RAID protection.” said Jason Hsu, product manager of QNAP.

The drive configuration can be switched on the back of the TR-002. There are also status lights, a One Touch Copy button and an eject button for more intuitive operations. You can find compatible QNAP NAS models and usage examples on the website https://www.qnap.com/go/product/tr-002.
