It is already a kind of custom that Apple partially restricts the operation of the App Store during the Christmas holidays, and this year will be no different. Company yesterday announced, that from December 23 to 27, it will disable the iTunes Connect portal, through which developers send their applications for approval, as well as their updates and price changes.

For ordinary users, this means only one thing - there will be no updates available in the App Store during the Christmas period, and no new applications will be added. The prices of the applications will also remain unchanged. All modifications, including Christmas discounts, must be submitted to Apple for approval before December 23rd. The apps will then remain discounted until at least December 27, when all iTunes Connect features will be available again.

The shutdown only affects the approval processor, and all other iTunes Connect features will continue to be accessible to developers. Services within developer accounts will not be restricted in any way.
