If you are one of our readers who owns an iPhone or iPad, you have surely already seen a notification on your screen at least once, in which there was a text Cancel action, together with the options Cancel or Cancel the action. In this case, most users don't know what this feature can do and prefer to always click the Cancel button. However, it should be noted that appearances can be deceiving and this seemingly annoying function can often save you some text or anything that you delete or modify in some way.

This very handy function that provides that "annoying window" with the option to undo an action is called Back with a shake. As you can now begin to guess, that window appears when your device in some way you shake – for example, you jump into bed, sit on a chair, or cause any other shock. So the Shake Back feature is activated after a shake, but what does it do? In the operating system macOS, and of course also in Windows, the function is available back, which you can use practically anywhere in the system. You can also invoke it via the keyboard shortcut Command + Z. However, this function is “missing” in iOS and iPadOS, but Apple decided to integrate it so that it is activated after you shake your device.

So, if you are currently writing a note, or performing an action that cannot be undone in any way (i.e., for example, deleting text, not deleting a photo - you can find this in the Last Deleted album), you can shake your iPhone or iPad. After shaking, a window will appear Cancel action, which makes it easy for you return back. If you want to undo the action whose name is in the window, click on the option Cancel action. If you activated the function by mistake, or if you don't want to undo the action, just press the option Cancel. If you go back this way, you can go back to the original state by shaking the device again and selecting the option Again.

Even so, there may be some users who simply do not like this function and would like to turn it off. Engineers from the apple company are aware of this and have integrated an option into the iOS and iPadOS operating system, thanks to which the function can be Shake back to deactivate. In this case, you just need to go to the native application Settings, where you click the option Disclosure. In this section, then move to the column Touch. Once you've done that, all you have to do is call the function named They deactivated by shaking back, by switching switches do inactive positions.
