According to leaked information and leaker reports, the device did not sell as well as Apple expected, which is why it is time to stop its development and replace it with a bigger alternative. Unfortunately, people are no longer interested in smaller phones, or they don't want to pay more than 20 crowns for them. In the overwhelming majority of cases, Apple users ignored the mini model and preferred to pay a few thousand extra for the standard version.

But as you surely know, this is a significantly smaller group without any possibility to reverse the cancellation of this model. And that despite the fact that they would prefer to see its next sequel. But then here we have the other side of the barricade, namely those who do not comment too positively on the mini model and, on the contrary, welcome its end. Why exactly does the iPhone mini face such criticism?
There is no room for smaller phones
As we mentioned right at the beginning, there is simply not that much interest in smaller phones today. Time has moved forward and the arrival of bezel-less phones has greatly changed the attitude of the users themselves. Even in smaller sizes, they can get a larger display, which of course allows for better writing, can display more content, and so on. Unfortunately, the problem comes when the device is already too small, which is probably the iPhone mini's biggest problem. If we then add its price, it is more or less clear to us that most potential customers prefer to bypass it and reach for the standard version. And this despite the fact that the mini has no compromises. Despite its smaller size, its guts contain the same things as its larger sibling. The only difference is the mentioned size and display.

Apple users also agree that the mini model is not the worst device, but it simply has strong competition in the current range of Apple phones. If you want the current generation, you reach for the normal model, if you are interested in a more compact phone, then for the iPhone SE. So if the iPhone SE didn't exist at all and the mini was available at a lower price, it would likely have a completely different popularity.
His reputation is defamed by the fans themselves
There is also an opinion on the discussion forums that the criticism of the iPhone mini is mainly due to its supporters. The whole thing is largely related to what we have already mentioned above, namely that there is no longer such interest in smaller phones. For this reason, one would expect the mini model to be ignored by most apple growers. But the problem arises when his supporters are sharply reserved against others and often single out their favorite, which can annoy others. According to some, these people resemble passionate vegans who feel the need to tell everyone else about their beliefs.

So let's be clear... the iPhone mini is a perfect compact phone that has no competition. Basically, Apple used it to convince me to switch from Android. If they made a mini PRO (120Hz display, better cameras), it wouldn't be wrong. Hopefully apple hasn't broken the stick over it yet, but I can be calm for 5 years, then we'll see (iPhone SE 2027 mini) :-D
