Condensation problem can destroy your AirPods Max. According to Apple, users are to blame

AirPods Max have been plagued by a long-term condensation problem that can completely write off the headphones. If you are among the fans of Apple and its products, then you probably know about this problem. You can find several different stories with the same problem on Apple discussion forums - the headphones suffer from condensation inside the shell, which can even result in damage to the product as such. The problem arises due to the inappropriate design of the AirPods Max - the combination of aluminum and non-breathable extensions does not allow ventilation, which creates condensation that can get into the internal parts and cause them to corrode.

Another (unhappy) AirPods Max user shared his story, who wanted to solve the problem directly with Apple and negotiate a repair or claim. Unfortunately, he didn't go. The Cupertino giant requires him to pay more than 6 crowns for repairs. As already described above, the condensation got into the internal parts and caused corrosion of the key contacts that are used to power the individual shells and transmit the sound. In the end, the headphones don't work at all. However, the user did not give up and started to solve the whole matter with support, thanks to which we got the first reaction from Apple.

Support handed over the whole problem to a team of engineers who decided to protest everything and came up with a rather interesting finding. According to them, such damage to the connectors cannot be achieved by condensation alone. On the contrary, they claim that the user is directly responsible for the non-functioning headphones, who had to add more liquids – or rather exposed the AirPods Max to water, which in the end caused the problem itself. But condensation should not be to blame. But this statement does not go together with a number of findings that were shared on discussion forums and social networks by users of these AirPods who encountered the exact same problem.

The Cupertino giant is trying to turn a blind eye to these problems and blame the apple growers themselves. For this reason, it will be interesting to see how the whole situation will develop further. AirPods Max are the most expensive Apple headphones, for which the giant charges almost 16 crowns. But is it worth investing in such headphones, which can be damaged due to condensation only from long-term use? That is up to each user. Of course, it also depends on how the product is used, or in which area it is located.

At the same time, there is also a difference between American and European apple growers. In the United States, the warranty works completely differently, while here, according to EU legislation, we are entitled to a 24-month warranty, which is guaranteed directly by the seller in question. If a product simply does not work as intended and has not been directly damaged by the user (for example, by misuse), the specific consumer is legally protected.
