Extreme temperatures of electronics are not good. The current ones, i.e. high ones, are also worse than the low ones, i.e. those in winter. If your iPhone is hot to the touch, and if you are already experiencing various restrictions on it due to its excessive heating, definitely do not put it in the refrigerator or cool it under water.

It is not an unusual phenomenon that you can observe even in the winter months, with the only difference being that in the summer months it can occur without your intervention. When you play Diablo Immortal in the winter and your iPhone burns your hands, if you leave your phone in the sun and then you want to work with it, it can have an internal temperature that limits your functionality.

Modern smartphones can regulate the temperature by adjusting their behavior. So typically it will limit the performance, along with that it will dim the brightness of the display, even if you have it to the maximum value and the mobile receiver will switch to power saving mode, thereby weakening it for you. Therefore, it is directly offered to try some options to cool the device, when the simplest is also the worst.

Forget the fridge and water

Of course, the laws of physics are to blame. So when your device goes from high to low temperatures, water condensation will easily occur. In winter, you can observe it in the form of a foggy display, what is happening inside the phone, but you cannot see it. The external manifestations are harmless, but the internal ones can infect a larger clearing.

If your iPhone is waterproof, it means that water will not penetrate inside it. But if it is too hot and it cools down rapidly, water will condense on the internal components, which can corrode and irreversibly damage the device. Of course, this phenomenon occurs with sudden changes in temperature, that is, if the device is really heated and you close it in a cold refrigerator or start cooling it with cold water.

If your device is really hot, and you observe its gradual limitation in functions, it is ideal to turn it off, slide out the SIM card drawer and just leave the phone in a place where air flows - not the warm one, of course. This can be an area near an open window, but you can also use a fan that just blows air and does not use any mixtures, like an air conditioner. In no case do not charge a heated iPhone, otherwise you can irreversibly damage its battery.
