On Wednesday, we informed you about quite interesting news, according to which the Apple Watch Series 7 is to receive a sensor for non-invasive blood pressure measurement. The Nikkei Asia portal came up with this information, which allegedly draws directly from the apple supply chain and thus has practically first-hand information. In any case, the leading analyst and editor of Bloomberg, Mark Gurman, has now responded to the whole situation, which is now relatively clear.

News of the implementation of the new health sensor came along with information about the delayed introduction. The suppliers reportedly encountered critical complications on the production side, due to which they were unable to produce a sufficient number of units on time. The long-awaited new design, in which they also need to put more components with maximum emphasis on the quality of the design, is to blame. In this direction, a sensor for measuring blood pressure was also mentioned. It should be noted that this statement surprised practically the entire apple community. The vast majority didn't expect anything like that this year, because, for example, Mark Gurman already claimed earlier that no health gadget/sensor would make it into this year's lineup.

The first reports discussed the implementation of a sensor for measuring body temperature. However, Gurman subsequently clarified that Apple unfortunately had to postpone this potential gadget, and we will therefore see its introduction next year at the earliest with the Apple Watch Series 8. There were still mentions of a revolutionary sensor for non-invasive blood glucose measurement, which would make the Apple Watch made a breakthrough device for diabetics. Until now, they have to rely on invasive glucometers that measure from your blood sample. But we will have to wait for something similar for a while, anyway, the first functional sensor from one of Apple's suppliers is already in the world.

Will there be a blood pressure sensor?

But let's now return to the original report on the implementation of the blood pressure sensor. This information appeared practically only a few weeks before the actual presentation of the new line of Apple watches, and the question arises as to whether we can believe the statement at all. It didn't take long and Mark Gurman, who has well-informed sources in his area, commented on everything on his Twitter. According to his information, the chances of the arrival of a new health sensor are practically zero. The hurdles on the production side are instead caused by new display technology.

Introducing the Apple Watch Series 7

Among Apple enthusiasts, it is now quite often discussed whether Apple will move the presentation of its watch to October, or whether it will be revealed to the world alongside the new iPhone 13 at the traditional September keynote. Mark Gurman is quite clear on this. The new generation of Apple Watch should be revealed already in September, regardless of whether their launch will take place a month later, for example. In the coming months, we will probably see even more interesting products for which the giant from Cupertino wants to get as much attention as possible. In this direction, of course, there is talk of a redesigned 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pro with significantly higher performance, a mini-LED display and other gadgets.

2022 will be revolutionary for the Apple Watch

If you've been impatiently waiting for a revolutionary change in the Apple Watch that would immediately convince you to buy a new model, then you should probably wait until next year. It is the year 2022 that should be quite revolutionary for the Apple Watch, because then we will see the arrival of interesting news related to the health of users. On the table is the possibility of the arrival of the already mentioned sensor for measuring temperature, or a sensor for non-invasive measurement of blood sugar levels.

At the same time, there are mentions of significant improvements in sleep monitoring and other areas. So for now, we have no choice but to wait patiently for what Apple will eventually get away with. However, we can easily count on one now. This is the new design for this year's Apple Watch Series 7, which abandons the rounded edges and conceptually approaches, for example, the 4th generation iPad Air or the 24″ iMac. So it is clear that the apple company wants to unify the design of its products in general, which is also indicated by the news about the upcoming MacBook Pro, which should come with similar design changes.
