Adam Kos When you buy an iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and other Apple products through its online store, you get them nicely served on a silver platter. But as soon as you want to reach for supplements, you have to equip yourself with a certain amount of patience. Searching in accessories is not exactly intuitive, the store certainly does not stand out with its offer and prices either.
If you want to buy accessories in the Apple Online Store, you can find them in the penultimate tab of the upper menu bar. After clicking on it, however, you will see mostly Apple products here, i.e. not only its covers and straps for the Apple Watch, but also AirTag or AirPods. Even though they have their own section, Apple still only considers them as accessories, so just to be sure, they are presented here. You can then browse the accessories themselves according to the categories or products for which you are looking for them.

If it then offers you the 3rd generation AirPods in the News section, it is completely understandable, but why they are next to the AirPods Pro introduced in 2019 is a question. Of course, you will find more similar illogicalities. It goes without saying that Apple tries to promote its own products in particular, but the question is why it actually offers those of third-party manufacturers. Their offer is not only relatively limited, seldom updated, but also more expensive.

For example, the JOBY GripTight PRO TelePod Tripod is available here at a price of CZK 2, but it can be found online for CZK 499 cheaper. The Netatmo smart thermostat costs CZK 500 at Apple, e-shops have it from CZK 4. The smart home button Eve Button is offered by Apple at a price of CZK 990, and you can find it on the Internet for CZK 3. And these are not just any brick-and-mortar stores, but the largest in the Czech Republic. You can find the Gimbal Combo DJI Osmo Mobile 700 here for a comparable price, as on the Internet, but you would look for its next, more modern generation here in vain, and we already have the 1th generation here.
A lousy offer is needed even if you click on the category of drones. Here you will find DJI Mini 2 Fly More Combo, DJI Mavic Air 2 and DJI Mavic Air 2 Fly More Combo. That is all. As for headphones, Apple only offers its AirPods and Beats, the offer of which is also very limited, practically only five models. You will find only one portable Bluetooth speaker in the entire Apple Online Store, and that is the old Beats Pill+.

After going through the entire offer, it actually occurs to you, why should you shop at the Apple Online Store at all? Of course, one reason may be that you buy directly from Apple, and the other is that you can find here all the color variants of the covers that APR or other sellers may not have. But even if there is an offer "Only at Apple", it certainly does not contain anything that you really have to have and buy it in bulk from Apple. So the company should do something about its business. It doesn't look nice, nor believable, and certainly not advantageous.
