Libor Kubín Although the Cupertino company Apple often offers job opportunities in various locations, it is exceptionally looking for new employees directly in the Czech Republic.
Apple is working very intensively to improve its maps. July 31 in the section Jobs at Apple dedicated to job offers has discovered a position called a local expert for cities such as London, Rome, Berlin, Moscow,... as a place of work - and among them Prague:

That's how Apple motivates you to join its team. However, in order to become a Prague expert in terms of map materials, you must also meet the following points:
- Huge attention to detail.
- Experience in quality assurance.
- Familiarity with map quality assessment.
- At least five years spent in the region.
- Detailed knowledge of unique parts of your city, including preferred driving routes, landmarks and street names.
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
- Bachelor's degree.
If you are interested in Apple, the Californian company will offer you a workload of 40 hours a week, traditionally there is no mention of salary. The name of the position already says a lot, but the job description is described in detail in the advertisement:
The map team is looking for people with mapping knowledge, great testing skills and local knowledge to help us make better and better maps. In this position you will be responsible for the quality of the maps in your region. You will test changes in map materials, provide feedback, collect information and evaluate competing products.
The second position offered is the position of manager for cooperation with mobile operators:
Apple is looking for a person to negotiate with mobile operators in the Czech Republic and Croatia and oversee the proper promotion of the iPhone in stores and other sales channels. Apple expects such a person to have extensive experience in a similar role for one of the mobile phone manufacturers. A person in this position should probably help negotiate terms with carriers and promote iPhone sales in their sales channels. The working hours are 40 hours per week with location in Prague or Budapest.
