Tim Cook believes that many companies will continue to support remote work even after the coronavirus pandemic is over. While some believe that working from home is only a temporary side effect of the pandemic, Apple is betting that remote work and the so-called home office will survive the coronavirus. He stated it in notes on the company's earnings for Q2 2021.

“When this pandemic is over, a lot of companies will continue to follow this hybrid workflow,” he said specifically. "Working from home will be very important," he further added. Apple posted record 2% year-over-year growth during Q2021 53,6. Compared to all other products, the iPad rose the most, by 78%. This is probably due to "home offices", but also to the advantages of distance learning. However, Macs also jumped, growing by 70%.

Even though the whole world is still more or less in need, someone is visibly doing well. They are, of course, technology companies that cannot meet the demand for their machines. This is not only due to its increase, but also problems with logistics, which were of course also affected by the pandemic, as well as problems with the production of individual components. But they are now in an advantageous position - it creates a feeling of scarcity and thus higher demand. So they can easily afford some price increases.

However, Tim Cook is probably right that working from home will remain even after the end of the pandemic. Employees save on commuting and the company on space rentals. Of course, it is not applicable everywhere, but in practice, even on the production lines, a worker does not have to stand to set up the parts, when we have Industry 4.0 and in it robots capable of everything.
