In our regular series on native Apple apps, we continue to discuss native Files in iPadOS. Not only in the environment of the operating system for apple tablets, this application offers a lot of options for organizing files and folders so that their display is as convenient as possible for you. Today we will look at the methods of organizing files and folders in a little more detail.

If you want to place the selected documents in Files on the iPad into a completely new folder, click on the folder icon with a “+” sign at the top right. Name the folder and save it. Then click Select in the upper right corner and mark the files you want to move to the new folder. Click Move on the bar at the bottom of the display, click to select the created folder, and click Move in the upper right corner of the window. You can also compress files in individual folders. Click Select in the upper right corner, mark the required files and click Next -> Compress in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen. To decompress, simply click on the selected archive.

To add a tag to a file or folder, hold your finger on the selected item for a long time and select Tags in the menu. Then just select the desired brand. Items with tags always appear in the navigation sidebar under Tags. To remove a tag, long-press the selected item, tap Tags, and tap to remove the assigned tag.
