We certainly won't lie, and right at the beginning of the review we'll say that the iPhone is the most used smartphone in the world. People like to use the iPhone on the go, at work, at school and in other activities, which are very widespread thanks to the rich accessories.

Sometimes the iPhone needs to last for a longer period of time - that's why they come on the scene external battery, which in today's modern times are directly implemented in covers, of which there are also countless on the iPhone. Thanks to the great combination, you too can use the two-in-one. In other words, extend the life of your iPhone comfortably and without cables - and be careful, up to twice as much!

Package contents

It hides in a miniature package external battery, which is directly in the cover for an iPhone with a capacity of 1900 mAh = so you double the life of your iPhone, but wait until the official test results, which you will find in this review. The next and last part of the package is a charging USB cable, thanks to which you can supply "energy" to the external battery in less than two hours. The power supply takes place using the miniUSB connector, which can be found in the lower part of the cover, as well as the button for turning on and off the external battery directly in the cover on the iPhone 4.

The cover is perfectly light - it weighs only 65 grams (weighed!) and thanks to its great dimensions, the iPhone fits in it without any problems. The upper part is removable, so it is used for convenient insertion of the iPhone into the cover. The cover is adapted for simple management of system buttons - so you can comfortably control the volume, connect headphones and turn off the phone. Taking photos is also no problem.

What I really like about the cover is that it does not extend above the display, like most other covers, both classic covers (without an external battery) and covers with a battery.

Overall, the iPhone in the case with the built-in external battery is comfortable to hold, it does not slip and the phone is firmly placed in the case. In addition, thanks to the solid cover, you protect your smartphone against scratches on the back and also minimize the possibility of breaking the phone when it falls to the ground.

Statistics - or numbers in practice

The best for a clear review will be a timeline of how you are doing external battery for iPhone 4 led. In the following few points, you will clearly see how long the battery takes to charge, what its load is and when it is completely discharged.

7:00 – After unpacking, the external battery in the cover reports 0% – so I immediately connect it to the source and see how long it takes until all three LEDs on the back light up.

Wednesday 8:30 am – The indicators on the back of the external battery light up and thus signal that the battery in the housing is fully charged. Yay, the testing can begin.

Wednesday 8:31 am – So I put the iPhone in the cover with the external battery and switch the button on the bottom to "ON". You will hear the classic sound you know when you connect iPhone to PC/MAC.

Wednesday 13:30 am – I used the iPhone to the maximum = constantly connected to WiFi/3G, Facebook, Twitter, mail, occasional surfing, updating five applications from the App Store, Instagram and sending five photos by email in the highest quality. An hour of navigating around the city thanks to the NAVIGON application (recommended), 15 minutes of communication via BeejiveIM. Furthermore, the phone is used for "classic" things = texting and calling. The battery indicator shows 100% and when you press the button on the back of the cover, two LED lights (out of three) light up blue. Let's continue the stress test.

Wednesday 23:30 am – I lay in bed and after an hour and a half of listening to music, three downloaded apps and an hour of watching YouTube videos, I check the battery indicator. Unfortunately, the iPhone is no longer powered by external batteries, but by the iPhone itself.

Overall rating

So, according to my expectations, the stress test passed quite successfully. As you can see, I used applications on my phone that tend to "bite" a lot of the battery of the iPhone itself. I would venture to say that the iPhone would last for three days while making phone calls and texting with a fully charged external battery. In conclusion, it must be noted that I had the display brightness turned on to maximum - and the display backlight is very vulnerable to the battery itself.

As for the cover with an external battery, I'm satisfied, but the fact that I didn't detect that the iPhone is no longer powered by an external battery bothers me quite a lot. For example, all three LED lights flashing for a minute or a system message on the display would be enough. Unfortunately, nothing like that happened. The iPhone disconnected from the external battery without notification, and at this moment you can comfortably take your smartphone out of the robust case, it makes no sense to continue to carry it in the case with the external battery.

Pros

  • doubles the life of the iPhone
  • relatively high-quality and well-thought-out design (access to all system buttons + camera)
  • low weight (65 grams)
  • LED indicators on the back of the cover
  • relatively fast recovery of the external battery

Cons

  • no information that the external battery was disconnected from the phone's power supply
  • I would like more colors

So who is the external battery in the cover intended for?

Half a year ago, I rejected all external batteries, solar chargers and other "gadgets". I rejected them, perhaps for the reason that I could practically fit them into my life. But today, with the passage of time and three days of testing, I am satisfied and will definitely continue to recommend it.

Basically, it is suitable for everyone who, for example, is on the go most of the day and needs to use the iPhone to the maximum. Furthermore, for those who go on long business trips, etc. There are really many uses and it is up to everyone how they will use the external battery located directly in the cover.
