A playlist appeared in Apple Music, in which the Californian company put together songs that somehow influenced it during its four decades of existence and appeared in advertising campaigns. This is part of Apple's 40th birthday celebrations on April 1st.

The playlist is called "Apple 40", has forty songs and almost two and a half hours. "Apple is 40. Forty songs from Apple commercials, celebrating 40 years of ideas, innovation and culture," says Apple Music.

The first song in the list is All You Need Is Love by the Beatles, who were Steve Jobs' favorite band. The playlist also includes, for example, The Rolling Stones, Gorillaz, Franz Ferdinand, Adele, Coldplay, Daft Punk, Bob Dylan or The Weeknd.

Paradoxically, there is a difference, for example, between the American version of the playlist and the Czech one. For example, we don't have Eminem, Major Lazer, The Fratellis or The Ting Tings in the "Apple 40" playlist on Apple Music. On the contrary, against the American version there are also INXS or Matt and Kim.

Pro listening to a special playlist, for which Apple unfortunately does not provide a more detailed description, so we cannot automatically match which ad the song belongs to, you must be an Apple Music subscriber. The same playlist was, however, unofficially also created on Spotify.
