We've already reviewed a few apps for watching broadcast series here, so now it's time for movies. It is not out of the question to keep records about them either - about which film you want to see, which one you have already seen, and which one you plan to go to the cinema. A simple and good-looking iOS application Todo Movies is the solution.

The work of the developer studio Taphive is not a sophisticated application, on the contrary, it tries to be as simple as possible. Todo Movies can practically only do three steps - search for a movie, add it to the list, and then check it off after watching it. Nothing more, nothing less, but who needs anything more from an application for recording watched movies?

Use the plus button to search for the desired film, and in the clear list you will find the name of the film, the poster and the date of release for distribution for easier orientation. After selecting a movie, you have four options - click on the poster to start the trailer for that movie, the top right button shows details about the movie (release date, genre, time, rating, director, actors and plot) and the two buttons below are used to add the movie to your list and sharing it on social networks or by message or email.

In terms of database, the Todo Movies app draws from TMDb.org, which will not please Czech fans so much, because the selection of domestic films is therefore limited. Of the Czech films that appeared in cinemas in the last six months, I could find practically none in Todo Movies. But with the older and more "known" pictures, there was usually no problem.

When you have created your list, which can of course be constantly updated, you can sort the selected titles either by the date of the start of distribution, alphabetically, or in the order in which you added the films. Again, you can have all the information about the given slide displayed and also check again that you have already seen it. This will move that movie to the "watched" box.

If you add a movie to your list that hasn't been released yet, Todo Movies can alert you with push notifications when the title hits theaters. There is also the option to display a badge with the number of movies not yet watched on the application icon.

So, as you can see, Todo Movies is a very simple application, but it perfectly serves its purpose and offers a pleasant and graphical interface. For less than one euro, it should not be missed by any fan who wants to keep his films in order. For now, however, Todo Movies only exists for iPhone.
