A day before the official start of sales of the new iPhone XS and XS Max, the first video appeared on YouTube, which captures a look under the hood of this year's new product from Apple. It is backed by a Danish service network that deals with the repair of Apple phones. We finally get a glimpse of what has changed since last year, and at first glance it looks like there aren't too many changes.

You can watch the video with English subtitles below. As far as the internal layout is concerned, the most interesting thing is the comparison with last year's iPhone X. It shows how few changes have taken place at first glance. The most visible innovation is the completely new battery, which is again L-shaped, thanks to the compact and double-sided design of the motherboard. The iPhone X had a battery of the same shape, but unlike this year's novelties, it was composed of two cells. Current models have a battery composed of one cell, which has achieved a slight increase in capacity.

In addition to the battery, the display attachment system in the phone chassis has also changed. Newly, more adhesive material is used, which, together with the new sealing insert (thanks to which this year's iPhones have a level better IP68 certification), makes disassembling the display part significantly more difficult. The internal layout of the phone has not changed at first glance. It can be seen that some components have changed (such as the camera lens module), but we will learn more detailed information about individual components later. Probably in the next few days, when iFixit will take the news and perform a complete disassembly together with the identification of individual components.
