When Apple released the first version of its AirPods, many of us would not have thought that it could be such a significant and successful product. Last year, we saw the release of the second generation of classic AirPods, and not far after them, AirPods Pro, which differ, for example, in a different construction, offer active noise cancellation and are controlled by pressing, not tapping. Of course, all the new features of AirPods Pro also need to be transferred to the system so that users can customize them. However, not all options are always reflected directly in the product settings, but are placed in another part of the settings.

And this is exactly the case with the length of holding the AirPods Pro stems, thanks to which you can control them. Some users may not be satisfied with the speed of holding the stalks to start or pause playback, to skip a song, or to invoke Siri. Unfortunately, you would find it very difficult to customize this aspect in the AirPods Pro settings. So let's take a look together at how you can change the speed required to repeatedly press the stem of the earphones on AirPods Pro, as well as how to change the time between pressing and holding.

How to change the time for repeatedly pressing the stems and the time between pressing and holding AirPods Pro

On your iPhone or iPad with which you have paired AirPods Pro, go to the native app Settings. Some of you might expect us to move to the Bluetooth section and open the AirPods settings here, but that's not the case here. Therefore, go down a bit in the settings below, until you come across an option disclosure, which you open. Here, you just need to find and open the option AirPods. You will be presented with two sections, press speed and press and hold duration, where you can adjust the speed of these aspects from three options – Default, Long, Longest, respectively Default, Short and Shorter.

Additionally, below these options, there is an option to turn on noise cancellation for just one earpiece. AirPods can be used even when you only have one in your ear. By default, AirPods Pro are set to not activate noise cancellation when using a single AirPod. However, if you activate the Noise Canceling function with one AirPod, this function will be activated in this case as well.
