Yesterday, Apple published the first developer beta version of iOS and iPadOS with serial number 13.4. The news has already been among users for several hours, and a summary of the changes and new functions that this version will bring to all users in the spring has appeared on the website.

One of the partial changes is a slightly changed bar in the mail browser. Apple has moved the reply button completely to the other side of the delete button. This has been causing problems for many users since the release of iOS 12, so they will now have peace of mind.

One of the biggest news in iOS 13 was supposed to be the feature of sharing folders on iCloud. However, this functionality did not make it into the final build, but Apple is finally implementing it in iOS/iPadOS 13.4. Through the Files application, it will finally be possible to share iCloud folders with other users.

In iOS/iPadOS 13.4, a new set of Memoji stickers will also appear, which can be used in Messages and which will reflect your own Memoji/Animoji characters. There will be a total of nine new stickers.

Another fairly fundamental innovation is the possibility to share purchases across platforms. Developers will now be able to use the unification functionality of their applications if they have versions for iPhones, iPads, Macs or Apple TV. In practice, it will now be possible to set the fact that if a user buys an application on an iPhone, and according to the developer it is the same as an application on, for example, Apple TV, the purchase will be valid for both versions and they will thus be available on both platforms. This will allow developers to offer bundled applications for a single fee.

The newly introduced API CarKey has also seen major changes, thanks to which it is possible to unlock and further interact with vehicles that support NFC functionality. With the help of an iPhone, it will be possible to unlock, start or otherwise control the respective car. In addition, it will be possible to share the key with family members. The Apple CarPlay interface has also received minor changes, especially in the area of control.

iOS/iPadOS 13.4 also introduces a new dialog to allow selected apps to track your location permanently. That is, something that has been prohibited for third-party applications until now, and which has bothered many developers.
