David Trlica Google Podcasts was originally only available as a web app. A few months ago, the Android version was released, but the iOS application was nowhere in sight. Today, Google officially announced the addition of subscription support, the redesign of the Android application, and directly with these news, an iOS application was announced that everyone can download from App Store download free.

Amaya Toman Google Podcasts is identical on iOS to Android. The home page shows subscribed podcasts with episodes and a few recommended podcasts that Google thinks you might be interested in. You may also notice the Explore section, which displays new episodes and rankings of the best podcasts in various categories. This section is also used to find new podcasts.
The last part of the application is called Activity, and in it you can take a closer look at which podcasts you are currently listening to, what you have downloaded on your phone, as well as history and subscription settings. Information from the application is synchronized with the web version (podcasts.google.com), you can start listening to a podcast on the road via iPhone and immediately continue at home on your Macbook via the web. It is also quite possible that the web version of Google podcasts will soon receive a new design so that it is identical to the Android and iOS versions. However, Google has not yet officially confirmed this possibility.
