The manufacturer of Pebble smart watches presented three big news yesterday. He did so traditionally as part of the publication Kickstarter campaign. So those interested can pre-order the news right away, and the good news is that they really have a lot to choose from. Pebble 2 (successor to the first Pebble), Pebble Time 2 and Pebble Core are coming, a completely new wearable with GPS and a 3G module for streaming from Spotify.

The Pebble 2 watch is a direct follow-up to the original Pebble, with which the company was a huge success and essentially created the smart watch segment. The Pebble 2 sticks to its original philosophy, offering a high-contrast black and white e-paper display, water resistance up to 30 meters, and a week's worth of battery life.

However, the second generation Pebble also comes with big news in the form of a heart rate monitor, a built-in microphone and a better scratch-resistant cover glass. A key change is also support for the latest operating system based on the timeline, which also recently came with an improved activity and sleep monitoring application.

Above all, athletes, for whom the watch is primarily intended, will certainly appreciate the Pebble 2. Pebble 2 will go on sale in September this year for $129. If you pre-order them already within the framework Kickstarter campaign, you will pay only 99 dollars for them, i.e. less than 2 crowns. There are five color versions to choose from.

The Pebble Time 2 is a direct successor Pebble Time, but they come straight in premium looking metal variant. They also bring a heart rate monitor as well as a significantly larger display. There are now significantly thinner frames around it, thanks to which the display area has been expanded by a decent 53 percent.

The display is, as with the original Time, colored e-paper. The Pebble Time 2 are also waterproof to 30 meters, also have a microphone and offer 10 days of battery life, which is a really respectable figure, especially considering the competition.

The Pebble Time 2 will replace the current Pebble Time and Pebble Time Steel models and will come in three colors – black, silver and gold. As for availability, the watch is expected to arrive in November of this year, priced at $199. From Kickstarter they can be pre-ordered again cheaper, for 169 dollars (4 crowns).

A completely new product in Pebble's offer is a wearable device called Core, which is intended primarily for runners and "geeks" of all kinds. It is a small square device with a single button that can be clipped to a T-shirt or belt. Core includes GPS and its own 3G module, thanks to which it will provide the runner with basically everything he may need.

Thanks to GPS, the device records the route, while working with a variety of popular fitness apps such as Runkeeper, Strava and Under Armor Record. Thanks to the 3G module, it will allow streaming music from Spotify and thus provide the runner with proper musical motivation.

The Pebble Core device also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, 4GB of internal memory and is widely programmable. Basically, this is a tiny computer with Android 5.0 open, so in addition to being an aid for runners, it can easily be a gate opener, a pet tracking chip, a small voice recorder, etc. In short, the Pebble Core will be the kind of device that passionate tech enthusiasts will make of it.

The Pebble Core will arrive to the first customers in January 2017. It will be available in black and white and will cost $99. Price on Kickstarter is set at 69 dollars, i.e. less than 1 crowns.
