Digital adaptations of classic board games may be a useless product for some. Why play games that you can pretty well lay out at the table surrounded by your family and friends? The big advantage of electronic versions is the fact that they make playing itself easier for you, and that even if you don't have any friends, you can always find someone to challenge to play. The board game Britannia, in which you will fight for supremacy over medieval Britain, has also received a digital form on the Mac.

For experienced boarders, Britannia offers the already familiar archetype of conquest, where you gradually build your own armies and try to occupy as many valuable territories as possible. Controlling individual territories then gives you the opportunity to expand more, use a lot of resources and strengthen your positions to get a bunch of victory points. At the same time, Britannia offers a large portion of historical accuracy. The campaign begins in 43 with the Roman invasion and continues until 1066.

The game thus gives you the opportunity to change the history of the British Isles. While you can't change the course of history in the skin of the English, Saxons or even the Scots in such a way as, for example, in Europa Universalis, this option adds an additional dimension to the game. In addition to the computer, you can of course also share the land with other players, up to two others in the same game.
