XTB trading conferences have a long tradition. But this year is special thanks to the current situation on the financial markets. Although the gradual hemorrhaging of most assets decimates long-term investor portfolios, properly conducted trading can be a profitable business even in these times. Interest in education and analytics in this direction is therefore constantly growing. As the main topic of the current year was thus chosen "Trading in a high interest rate environment” and the entire event was divided into three thematic parts, separated by panel discussions:
Part One: Tips for Beginners and Intermediates
- 13:00 - 15:00
After the introductory presentation, the event will start with topics mainly for beginning traders. The first speaker will be Ondrej Hartman, a successful professional trader on the financial markets, author of several trading books and founder of the fxstreet.cz portal. In his presentation entitled “How easy is it to start trading today?" will focus primarily on the pitfalls of business startups.
He then introduces himself Jakub Kraľovansky, author of the YouTube channel Trader 2.0, which is one of the most popular financially oriented channels in Slovakia. Since the coming year seems to be full of threats, Jakub prepared a summary of these motives and named his lecture "Pitfalls of trading in 2023".
The first part will then end with a panel discussion entitled "Rules for successful trading in 2023".
Second part: Working with graphs

Charts are an inherent part of active trading, and every experienced trader knows that there is always potential to expand their knowledge in this regard. Therefore, two other guests took up the lectures on this topic.
Marek Vaňha, trader, analyst and face of the YouTube channel Golden pocket will share his experience on “Charts and preparation for trading”. His lecture will then be followed by a professional active trader Tomáš Voboril with his opinion on "Charts and the trader's psyche".
This entire panel will then be concluded with a discussion entitled “Charts and trading below the surface".
Part Three: Macroeconomics and Market Sentiment
- 17:00 - 18:00
The last section will be devoted to the overall current situation on the financial markets from the point of view of macroeconomics and sentiment. Especially this one part of the conference can be useful not only for active traders, but also for long-term investors.
Expert in macro-environmental analysis David Monoszon will share his “Macro view for active investment management and trading”. At the same time, he will present a very current topic, which is the impact of the growing popularity of one-day options on current movements in the markets. The entire event will then be closed by Štěpán Hájek, senior analyst at XTB, with a lecture entitled "Macro-trading”, in which he will present his approach on how to combine a current view of macro trends with active trading.
