In the world of mobile technology, the term flexible smartphone resonates more and more. In this direction, Samsung is the biggest driver with its Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold models. In recent years, however, there has also been speculation about the development of a flexible iPhone, which is also confirmed by various patents registered by Apple. So the question arises. When will the giant from Cupertino introduce a similar product? Unfortunately, the answer is not quite so simple, in any case, Mark Gurman from the Bloomberg portal brought an interesting insight.

According to him, Apple fans will have to wait for the flexible iPhone. A similar device will probably not come with the university in the next two or three years, for several relatively reasonable reasons. It is still a new technology that is generally in its infancy. At the same time, it suffers from a shorter service life and a higher purchase price. In addition, Apple is known for the fact that it always implements various innovations significantly later than the competition. A great example is, for example, 5G support on iPhones, the always-on display on the Apple Watch, or perhaps widgets in the iOS/iPadOS system.

At the moment, Apple is probably waiting for the best possible moment during which it could shock with the introduction of a flexible iPhone. As we mentioned above, the market is currently dominated by Samsung, which, by the way, has no relevant competition. So currently, it would appear that the apple company is copying from Samsung. Of course, no one wants a similar label. So once the possibilities of flexible smartphones in general have shifted and more models are available on the market, we can easily count on the fact that at that very moment Apple will introduce a shiny and reliable flexible phone that will be "decorated" with an even more insane price tag.

Now we can look forward to the expected presentation of the new iPhone 13 series. Apple should traditionally reveal them in September this year through its keynote. The new models are likely to offer a reduced top notch, better cameras and a larger battery, while the Pro models are practically expected to implement a ProMotion display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an always-on function and a number of other novelties.
