The MacBook Pro has gone through several different changes during its existence. The last big change was undoubtedly the switch from Intel processors to Apple Silicon, thanks to which the device's performance and battery life increased noticeably. Nevertheless, there is one segment where this Apple computer lacks and therefore cannot compete with Windows. Of course, we are talking about a FaceTime HD camera with a resolution of only 720p. Fortunately, that should change with the arrival of the redesigned 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pro.

Render of the expected 16″ MacBook Pro:

The FaceTime HD camera has been used in MacBooks Pro since 2011, and by today's standards it is of very poor quality. Although Apple claims that with the arrival of the M1 chip, quality has moved forward thanks to increased performance and machine learning, but the results do not fully indicate this. The first glimmer of hope came only this year with the 24″ iMac. He was the first to bring a new camera with Full HD resolution, easily hinting that the upcoming models could see similar changes. By the way, this information came from a well-known leaker going by the nickname Dylandkt, according to which the expected MacBook Pro, which will come in 14″ and 16″ versions, will receive the same improvement and offer a 1080p webcam.

In addition, Dylandkt is a fairly respected leaker who has already revealed a lot of information about previously unannounced products. For example, even in November of last year, he predicted that Apple in the next case The iPad Pro will bet on the M1 chip. This was subsequently confirmed five months later. Similarly, he revealed i using the chip in the 24″ iMac. A few days before its unveiling, he mentioned that the device will use the M1 instead of the M1X chip. He recently shared another interesting piece of information. According to his sources, the M2 chip will first appear in the new MacBook Air, which by the way will come in several color variants. The M1X will instead remain for the more powerful (high-end) Macs. The redesigned MacBook Pro should then be introduced this fall.
