Nowadays, we can find relatively few fans of classic phone calls. Modern technologies bring us interesting alternatives, where we can conveniently reach for example iMessage, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and other communication platforms and send either a text or a voice message to the person in question. In this way, we do not bother anyone and give the other party time to think about the answer. But in some ways, phone calls are irreplaceable. New concept from the designer Dan Mall therefore, it renders an extremely interesting feature that could make the aforementioned calls a little bit more enjoyable.

The biggest problem is that when someone calls you, you practically do not necessarily know what the call will be about and what topic the other party needs to discuss with you. This can be especially daunting at times when a strange number is calling you. That is exactly why the designer came up with an interesting idea, which allegedly occurred to his wife. She asked for a function that would allow the iPhone to inform about why the other party is actually calling. But how to do it?

Reason for calling: Great option or useless?

As you can see in the attached image below, in practice such a function would work quite simply. As soon as someone called you, the reason for the call would appear on the screen at the same time. You could then decide immediately whether to accept it or not. The caller would simply write the mentioned reason before starting the call, which would then be projected directly on the display to the other party. A similar feature is definitely extremely interesting at first glance. Personally, I can imagine its use, for example, in moments when I am engaged in some activity and someone I know starts calling me. But at such a moment, I can't guess whether he's calling "just out of boredom" or if he really needs to solve something, so I have to put the activity, for example work, on hold for a while and find out more by picking up the call. Such a feature would eliminate this problem completely.

On the other hand, we could certainly do without something like that. At the same time, it is clear that if, for example, a telemarketing worker, an energy contractor or a financial advisor offering services called, he would certainly not write the real reason for the call and could therefore abuse the function. Of course, this could be solved if it was accessible, for example, only to the contacts of the given user. At the same time, it is necessary to mention that the designer came up with this concept only out of the recession, so definitely do not count on a similar novelty. On the other hand, we can think about whether it would not be worth it.
