In Mexico, another of Apple's branded stores was inaugurated last week - this time in the bustling Polanco district of Mexico City. Apple Antara is the first Mexican Apple Store of its kind. Similar to the main building of Apple Park in Cupertino, California, this store is also equipped with giant sliding glass doors, letting in a sufficient amount of natural light into the interior.

On the day of the grand opening, literally thousands of curious visitors visited the store, and an impatient crowd quickly gathered outside the store, in addition to the store's team of more than a hundred employees, there was also Apple's new head of retail, Deirdre O'Brien. Among other things, incoming visitors had the opportunity to try out the latest iPhone models at the store. In addition to the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, the store also had the Apple Watch Series 5.

The interior of the Apple Antara is designed to be able to host events within the Today at Apple program – one of them, for example, is supposed to be creative classes led by Mexican illustrator and muralist Edgar Flores. The opening ceremony also included an evening performance by the Mexican musician Mariana de Miguel, known under the stage name Girl Ultra.

The Apple Antara store is surrounded by museums, cultural landmarks and premium stores. In addition to the aforementioned Today at Apple program, the store will also have enough space for Genius services.
