Filip Novotny The Czech Apple Online Store already offers the new MacBook shortly after the end of the presentation. It also contains price tag, the cheaper model costs CZK 39 including VAT. You will pay an additional eight thousand crowns for higher performance and storage.
The base model of the new MacBook will offer 256 GB of flash storage, an Intel Core M processor with a frequency of 1,1 GHz (with Turbo Boost to 2,4 GHz), 8 GB of memory and an integrated Intel HD Graphics 5300 graphics card.
The higher model then doubles the storage size and also offers a slightly more powerful chip. The Core M processor in this configuration works at 1,2 GHz with Turbo Boost to 2,6 GHz.
The new MacBooks will not offer any additional configuration options, but they will bring one major innovation. It has a choice of three colors, similar to phones or iPads. The shades are the same – silver, gold and space gray.
The domestic Apple Store does not yet provide any detailed information about the availability of the MacBook in the Czech Republic.
Unpleasant news awaits those interested in other MacBook models, both the Air and Pro versions. You did find out minor hardware updates, but they became significantly more expensive in the Czech online store. For example, for basic MacBook Air you will pay CZK 24 instead of CZK 990. For higher 27-inch versions, the difference goes up to four thousand crowns.
The professional series has become even more expensive MacBook Pro with Retina display. The basic 13-inch model, which originally cost CZK 34, will now cost CZK 990. You'll have to dig even deeper into your wallet for the 39-inch model. For an almost identical model, instead of the original 990 CZK, you will pay 15 CZK from today, i.e. a full 53 thousand more.
So if you are thinking about buying one of the mentioned machines, it pays to head to one of the resellers as soon as possible.
The iPhone was also heavily overpriced, a big disappointment.

Those prices are simply worthless... thanks to the bad EUR/USD exchange rate and the weak koruna...
Kind of weird, right? iPads are still as expensive and the iPhone has become more expensive? It's probably not EUR or USD, or am I wrong?
I have a feeling you're wrong. The iPad has become more expensive too. It is a pure exchange rate effect. It doesn't look like anything will go up in USD.

ah, that's weird. Because if I compare it with, for example, Alza, the prices of iPads are exactly the same, but iPhones are not..but I'm probably wrong :) I haven't followed the price development much..

When I think about it, the price increase was to be expected because of the exchange rate, and the prices of the new macbook were perhaps also to be expected, because the development probably had to cost something, so the next generation could be much cheaper. What personally annoys me the most is that Apple keeps forgetting the pros! At the same time, Apple Mac was mainly for professionals! In any case, the iPhone 6 is no longer worth buying for the iPhone 6s. And now I wonder how I made money on my 13″ MAPr :D

I bought a used one a month ago (without locks). 11″ CZ 2014, 128GB for 15500 – a quick response to the ad was enough. Now I'm even more pleased with the price.
I recommend MP, I got MBA13 for 17k CZK and basically new.

The CNB is not the only one behind that price. The USD is strengthening against almost all currencies. But the ECB, Greece and a bit of Switzerland also have an influence on it.
I would not blame (only) the CNB. Apple did not raise prices so sharply only in the Czech Republic, but also in other countries, for example in Australia or Canada. Even there, the price of the iPhone rose by $100, similar to the prices of Macbooks, etc.
Um, so the defacto top model of the iPad with a keyboard and at several times the price. It's slowly losing the benefits of a laptop. They should have just thrown iOS in there. And Intel M? So where are we? It always performs better than air and at twice the price.
