But the user always had to download individual episodes manually. That is changing now. Netflix comes with the Smart Downloads function for iPhone and iPad, which greatly automates the whole process.
Smart Downloads are especially worthwhile when watching series. As soon as you watch the downloaded episode, it is deleted and the next episode is automatically downloaded to the device. The function thus saves not only time, but above all also phone storage. In addition, the content is downloaded only when connected to Wi-Fi, so there is no need to worry about unwanted loss of mobile data.

If you have downloaded, for example, the first three episodes of a certain series, as soon as you watch the third episode, Smart Downloads will automatically download the fourth episode, but delete only the first episode. He keeps the second and third in the device for possible replays.
To activate the function, you need to visit the Menu in the latest version of Netflix for iOS
