The case of iPhone 15 Pro overheating is currently running around the world. It's not the titanium or the A17 Pro chip that's to blame, it's the system and untuned apps. But even that should be resolved with the iOS 17.0.3 update. However, it is not an exception, Apple's iPhones have historically suffered from many problems.

Sometimes it was just making a camel out of a gnat, sometimes it was about more serious problems that Apple had to solve more complicated than just releasing a software update. The problem with all these mistakes is that they are highly publicized. If something similar happens to a smaller manufacturer, users will simply pass it on. However, this certainly does not excuse the fact that this should happen with a device for more than 30 thousand CZK.

iPhone 4 and AntennaGate (year 2010)

One of the most famous cases already concerned the iPhone 4, which came with a completely new design, but which did not have ideally shielded antennas. So when you held it inappropriately in your hand, you lost the signal. It was not possible to solve it with software, and Apple sent covers for free, to us.

iPhone 5 and ScuffGate (year 2012)

Here, too, Apple changed the design a lot, when it also enlarged the display. However, some iPhone models were very susceptible to damage, i.e. with regard to scratching their aluminum body. However, it was only a visual that did not affect the functions and capabilities of the device in any way.

iPhone 6 Plus and BendGate (year 2014)

The further enlargement of the iPhone meant that if you had it in the back pocket of your pants and sat down, you could break or at least bend the device. The aluminum was soft and the body very thin, when this deformation occurred especially in the area of the buttons. In later generations, Apple managed to fine-tune it better, even though the dimensions were essentially the same (iPhone 8 already had a glass back).

iPhone 7 and AudioGate (year 2016)

It wasn't a bug but a feature, even so it was a big deal. Here, Apple took the liberty of removing the 3,5 mm jack connector for headphones, for which it was also criticized a lot. Even so, most manufacturers switched to his strategy, especially in the highest segment.

iPhone X and Green Lines (2017)

The biggest evolution since the first iPhone brought a completely different bezel-less design. But the large OLED display suffered from problems related to green lines. However, these were also removed by a later update. The bigger problem was that the motherboard was leaving here, making the iPhone an unusable paperweight.

iPhone 12 and the display again (year 2020)

Even with the iPhone 12, problems were present with regard to their displays, where a certain amount of flickering was noticeable. Here, too, it could be solved with an update.

iPhone 14 Pro and that display again (year 2022)

And the third of all the bad things: Even the displays of the iPhone 14 Pro suffered from flashing horizontal lines across the display, when even Apple itself admitted this error. However, it was only in January of this year, when he started working on a software fix. However, the device was sold from September 2022.

It should be noted that Apple is trying to really solve all the ailments of its devices. It does the same with other products, where it offers a free post-warranty repair, especially on Macy, if the error is also manifested on your piece. At the same time, not all devices have to suffer from the given problem.
