At the beginning of this year, Apple started selling a limited edition Apple Watch Series 6, which was called Black Unity. The company itself referred to this offer as limited, although the watch was available until it was removed from the catalog, that is, until Friday, October 8, when it was replaced by the Apple Watch Series 7. The strap of this "limited edition" is still available.

The watch itself did not differ much from the basic configuration. It was practically just an engraved inscription Black Unity on the underside of the watch in a space gray design. The hand-assembled strap made of three pieces of colored fluoroelastomer then carried the distinctive colors of the Pan-African flag, while the pin of its clasp was still marked with the slogans “Truth. Power. Solidarity.” (Truth. Strength. Solidarity.). On the software side, a dynamic exclusive dial in the same colors was also added. And that's it, the price was the same as the standard series.

Black Lives Matter and more

The creation of this series was certainly meritorious, because apart from the (PRODUCT)RED campaign, Apple supports many organizations that advocate for racial equality and justice. These are, for example, the Black Lives Matter movement, which organizes campaigns for justice, actively opposes acts of violence and creates space for black imagination and creativity, or the European Network Against Racism, i.e. a pan-European network against racism, and many others.

Apple Watch Series 6 Black Unity 2

So Apple wanted to support this community properly, which it may have succeeded in, as it put the design of the series itself in the hands of black creatives and their colleagues at Apple to celebrate and acknowledge black history and culture. But maybe you should repeat the definition of the word "limited". Of course, you can no longer buy the watch itself from him, but he still offers the Black Unity sports strap. For CZK 1 you can buy it in two sizes, i.e. 290 and 40 mm. The first version is available in 44 to 4 weeks, the second in 5 to 5 weeks. Whether Apple is just trying to sell them out or they will still be part of the offer is unknown. It's also a question of why it didn't stop selling it with the Apple Watch series itself.

Meaning of a word limited is because bounded – from one limit to another. The beginning here is of course the beginning of the sale, the second limit could be its termination. But if we got to see the introduction of the Apple Watch Black Unity as a whole, Apple could have cut the series as a whole, and not just be a laughing stock by needing to sell out of stock. Or is the truth somewhere else and will we see the same Apple Watch Series 7 limit?
