There will certainly be a lot of users (or maybe more users) who prefer white plastic Macbooks to the new unibody series. Not only because of the price ($999), but a lot of people like the white one, it looks elegant. And I have good news just for you. Apple subtly updated this laptop when it upgraded the graphics card to Nvidia 9400M (thx Kichi for the tip!).
Whether you prefer the look or simply need a firewire port for work, now the Macbook 13″ in white is once again the perfect choice. The Nvidia 9400M did a great job, its performance is breathtaking. The only difference compared to unibody Macbooks is that this graphics only has DDR2 memory and instead of a mini display port there is still a mini dvi.
Um, I'd like that. I have an older model and I am really satisfied with the design. I bought him a beautiful white BT rodent, and I also have a white iPhone 3G, so it all suits me well. In the MacBook, I upgraded the disk to 320GB/7200rpm and the RAM to 4GB, so it sleeps well, but the graphics are much weaker. And it doesn't burn DVDs, it just reads them. It's a fact that I only need it exceptionally, but... so what. But the design is really elegant. Same as Leopard. ;-)
