It may seem to some that we are focusing mainly on strategies. We'd love to list other genres, but the vast majority of Mac developers and publishers ignore them. On the other hand, with the advent of streaming services such as Geforce NOW or Google Stadia, it will soon be no problem to play many more games even through MacOS. The Pedestrian
To begin with, we will again list two games that have already been released, but you should definitely know about them. The first one is a platformer/puzzle game called The Pedestrian. You play as a 2D character in a fully 3D world and your goal is to correctly connect information cards or markers to get to the end of the level. It can be purchased on Steam for 16,79 euros.
Warcraft III: Reforged
With this game, we thought the most about whether to rank it. And that's mainly because of the botched release. In the end, we included it here due to the fact that Blizzard has at least fixed some ailments and will hopefully continue to fix them. As for the game itself, it is a remake of the legendary third part of the Warcraft III strategy. And that includes the Frozen Throne data disc, the map editor and/or multiplayer. The price of the game is 29,99 euros and can be purchased on the battle.net website.
Wasteland 3
This is a classic RPG where you are in charge of a whole group of characters. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, specifically in Colorado. The first part of this game series even served as an inspiration for the creation of Fallout, which is probably familiar to most players. If you're looking for a proper RPG on Mac, Wasteland 3 is the perfect choice.
Path of Exile
The second RPG in our ranking, but this time with action. Path of Exile is a "devil" with a capital D. In recent years, it has been one of the most popular action RPGs on the market. Maybe because of frequent updates or successful monetization. It is available for free and players only pay for cosmetic changes.

The Last Night
Unfortunately, Cyberpunk 2077 will not be available on Mac, but if this futuristic environment appeals to you, The Last Night can be a minor patch. At the very least, it will impress with its unconventional graphics, combining elements of pixel art and the 2D/3D world. The story is also supposed to be a strong point of the game. The only downside is that a more precise release date is missing.
A Total War Saga: TROY
The Total War strategy series already has countless titles. In 2020, players will embark on the Trojan Wars. Not only were the developers inspired by Homer's Iliad, but they also expanded on this legendary story. You will be able to play the conflict from the point of view of both the Greek and the Trojans. The MacOS version will be available shortly after the Windows version.
Crusader kings iii
The developers at Paradox release quite a few games on the Mac. There will also be a new part of the Crusader Kings III strategy. Set in the Middle Ages, it differs from other strategy games in that you don't play for an empire/kingdom, but for a dynasty. The game is characterized by enormous freedom. For example, you can start as an insignificant ruler of a small area and gradually work your way up to become a king.
Psychonauts 2
The sequel to Psychonauts is eagerly awaited by every platformer fan. You can already see from the trailer that Double Fine Productions cares that the second part is at least as good as the first. And that won't be easy, because the average rating of the first part is 87 according to the Metacritic server.
The Pathless
You may have already heard about this game thanks to the Apple Arcade service where it will be released. This is an adventure game created by the developers of Abzu. The game is characterized by a very specific graphic design. In The Pathless, there will also be logical tasks, fights with enemies and elements of exploration.
Firmament
Behind this game is the studio Cyan, which you may know as the creator of Myst, Riven or Obduction. Similar to the previous games, Firmament is a story-based adventure game. The unusual thing is that the game is built on virtual reality, but it will also be released classically on Windows or MacOS. The release is planned for mid-2020.
